Sadly, people will still buy the heck out of them because they are still the best midsize around.

Even though I think they could have done certain things a lot better.

I didn't like the 2016s but after seeing the gray access cab in the video, I like it.

Let's not criticize the cuisine before it's served.

It may suck. But seriously, I think we need to drive one first. And who cares about less than stellar torque numbers if you get that torque through a wide range of RPM?

We'll see. Like I said, I'm heavily considering a last minute 15. But I need to see first...

For some reason the appearance of it didn't bother me that much in this video like it normally has. +2 mpg is underwhelming though.

Your local dealership probably will make you a much better deal on the 2015s.
My local dealership is holding a pretty good deal for me, I think ($3200 off MSRP). So, will wait for the spec/review to make my decision.

Damnit really?! His was the only one I even cared about. I love his truck, it's one of my favorites. I thought it'd be interesting to follow.

I'd love people's opinions about something while we wait: I'm one of those who got torched in the past on a new model year vehicle that had all kinds of growing pains.

From what we know, which is limited, do you think this is antiquated thinking with the 2016 Tacoma? Anyone else worried about the new engine/transmission from an initial quality aspect?

Toyota is a big lumbering giant so far behind the ball it is sad. Now Toyota
Tacomas are Nissan ugly.. But I am in the market for a new p/u maybe and I am looking at the Ford F150 or my 5th Toyota. I presently also have a 2002 Ford superduty With the 7.3 and manual trans . The Ford has been the best vehicle I have ever owned so far

The new engine and transmission + GDI is the reason I purchased a 2015. Love the truck and have no regrets, even after watching videos and reading reviews of the 2016. Generally speaking I'm dancing with ants in my pants to get the latest and greatest but those ants have bitten me every time, so this time I went with tried and true. Besides, when looking at the photos of the grey 3rd gen and 2nd gen together the differences in body style is so insignificant that I don't feel like I'm missing out on a whole lot.
