Wasn't to sure how many miles you throw on them but it looks like your on par with what I do. Yeah at least monthly off-roading and then winters suck here lots of snow in the north east.

Hi Sean and TW! New here at TW. Great seeing the evolution of your truck in this thread. I was searching for a 'no-hoop' bumper and a review of PB. Google brought me here and after reading through 58 pages of this thread over the past 2 days, I feel more confident in my pending purchase from PB. I actually called them today and spoke with a very helpful young lady (I don't remember her name but she was super helpful) and am now determined to outfit my truck with their armor all around (front, rear, skids, and sliders). Quick question.....I know someone else had asked about it but I didn't seem to find any photos of it, but where did you mount the solenoid for the winch? Any issues?....

    I appreciate your insight.

Sean, from an HR manager to you, this is an an amazing politically correct answer! You gained a lot of respect just now mate.

I plan on adding the Pelfrybilt soon. All Pro is ok but I prefer Pelfrybilt.

Just finding your thread @DefconBrix .....amazing Taco man! Mind if I ask what your investment is so far? I'm not going for the off-road mods myself, but I do commend you on your mods.

    Not a Stocko Taco.
That is a number most of us don't care to know about our builds. But I bet its more than 100$ and less than $1,000,000 hahaha

I have seen trucks that have far less into them compared to my build and definetly less than Sean has into his......on a brand new truck.......being sold for 83,000$

I agree. Not really a concern or our business. The math is easy to do. Look at the part prices. It's more about the enjoyment and experience. I personally am dropping a lot on my truck and probably could make it cost a little less if I was more talented in the area of electrical wiring/lighting. In the end, if you smile when looking at it and driving it; and it allows for outdoor enjoyment for you and your family, then whatever the price is, it's worth it.

    IMHO

    Check the build thread.
So really I would say Armor Up first but just consider your short term goals and whats most important. Personally I would get some new armor on order (@Pelfreybilt of course) and then keep an eye out on the classifieds and craigslist for a used shell, lowball of course, which will save you a lot of money. It might not be the one you are dreaming of right now but at least you will have coverage until more money is able to trickle into the build. I have had a few different options on my bed before pulling the trigger on the one I always wanted.

Thank you so much!!! Seriously Pelfreybilt is amazing to deal with! They really do treat everyone like they matter. So I am running a larger winch, Zeon 10S, so I bought the control pack relocate kit and the solenoid is now mounted under the hood along the drivers side fender. I have been meaning to get the wireless remote for it so I don't have to open the hood during recovery situations but I keep forgetting or putting it off lol Not a single issue though!

That does mean a lot to me believe it or not! Thank you!

Just now finding it?! Ok, I need to do a better job advertising this I guess lol
We all have different purposes for our builds and despite some trolls (you said you're not doing offroad mods which is a troll call sign lol) you might find along the way for doing it your way just ignore.
The amount in parts alone is more than I really care to know right now, just not as important as what it has provided me.
When and if I ever sell the truck that's when I will go through part by part and get a total though.

Photo Dump with my FlyCraft boat at Utah Lake, about 10 minutes from my house.
Great place to feel like you're away from it all, even if its only for an evening or afternoon — just have to make sure to cake on the bug spray!

This boat is seriously amazing. I was against an inflatable at first but this things is as durable as can be. My dog goes in it with.

Check them out for sure if you're in the market for a new watercraft:

Sean, do you inflate at your destination or keep it inflated and lash it down on top?
It does look like a great piece of equipment. Thought about maybe getting a sq. stern canoe. Found a bunch of stillwater paddling around here this summer.

When you had just your regular flares and fenders trimmed what did you use to keep the fenders sturdy? Did you do anything to your flares to make them not flemsy or flap while going down the highway?

Sean, I was planning on armoring up with some Pelfreybilt, but I came across the best deal that I could ask for. A year and a half old MGM short bed A.R.E Z-Series topper, with Front Runner Slimline II Rack. Same color as my truck with the rack that i need to match my cab rack. Getting it for a good price too and my wife is willing to go pick up the topper. So I'm going to have to put the armor off for just a little bit long, but not much though. I know what your saying about the options for my bed, I'm like you though I read and talk to others about how they feel about products that they have on their trucks. My dad has a bed cover over his and I can't stand that thing.
Another question for you, how do you like that sPod SC screen? You like it better than the switches?

Although, I have driven this truck and even with it only being a Timmies run I thought it was awesome.

I wish we had a stealership around here that would sell built Taco's as they would be more apt to warranty issues I may have with my truck. Not to mention it would just kick a$$!

    I don't see a price, but I bet it's overpriced.
Tried to sell my built truck for pennies on the dollar and had only 1 serious inquiry. So I am guessing it's not cost worthy for a dealer to do that.
