Talked to a new Colorado owner this weekend at HEB. His mileage ain't close to what GM said it would be, but he backed that up with either slower city driving or the 80/85 mph toll road nearby. DCSB V6. Said it picks up and goes OK, but a little whiney. He still likes it, but thinks GM could have put a smidge more effort into fit and finish.

1 step forward, 2 steps back.

Toyota is like Apple...repackage it a bit, throw a logo on it and call it good. People will buy them in droves...

Super excited for the new tacoma as it's been almost 20 years since my last truck. Question that may already have been answered - I'd like a manual DCOR, but am not sure of what features are lost (I'm assuming crawl control is only with auto?).

Also, is there a side-by-side for Sport vs. Off Road for the 2016?

So the TRD O/R has the bling grille, and the Limited has a more sedate option... Interesting. Good for me, as Limited is more suited to my needs.

Edit: Both TRDs (Offroad and Sport) get the cheese grater. I predict a lot of swaps...

Personally, I think this is a solid step forward in the context of "Major Refresh." Updated power-trains, updated cosmetics in and out, a few new features. It is mostly what I expected. Once you've established that you are using the same, basic frame and underpinnings, and the same cab spec points, there's only so much major change that can happen.

There isn't much doubt in my mind that the 4th gen needs to be a clean sheet design. Whether Toyota agrees with me remains to be seen.

I will say that, given everything we now know, I would not hesitate to buy a 2015 Tacoma for a nice, "The 2016's are here!" discount, were I in the market (I'm not, though it's tempting)

5 people just left work to go order a new F150 instead of a Tacoma. True story.
