My doors are the only stock things left besides the headlights
Either thickness play you use you need to add reinforcement stiffeners like sum criss crossed angle iron on its side so it forms like a triangle, that's what really helps em from bending

Less than two weeks away - so it's not too soon to start planning for food and communications.

I suspect folks will be arriving at different times on Fri/Sat morning and it'll be difficult to do any kind of joint food plan. Personally, I'll stay in a climate controlled hotel in Angel's Camp on friday night, have breakfast there, and then meet you guys at the trailhead on Saturday morning.

Do we want to do any kind of food sharing/pot luck for Saturday evening camping?

What radio/communications are we using? HAM > CB > FRS.

I plan on leaving mid morning Friday. Flexible though if people want to convoy but have schedule issues. Would like to leave around 10 or 11 though.

I was gonna keep my food pretty simple this trip but I'm happy to share my pb & j's . I could bring something if y'all wanna potluck. I'll call tomorrow and check on the fire restrictions...

I only have a cb, channel 16 seems to be the most popular recently. Gettin excited! Skids are just about ready to (hit) rock! May have a surprise comin too :anonymous::fingerscrossed:.

Just to clarify - I'll be leaving after work on Fri, fighting bay area traffic, and arriving late. I'm not much for finding/setting up a campsite in the dark after 10pm.

But I'm planning on camping with the group on Saturday night after we do the trail.

How many folks will be camping? On Saturday night maybe I can make enough "cajun chicken sausage jambalya" to share with everyone. The recipe below, which I've made before, can be shared as a main dish among roughly a dozen people, assuming folks have also brought some other stuff to eat.

    http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/cajun-chicken-and-sausage-jambalaya-recipe.html

It takes a while to cook; but once at a slick rock campout, I made the mistake of substituting brown rice for regular rice. Then it took a *really* long time to cook.

@bjmoose use a pressure cooker if you ever need to cook anything fast at higher elevations.

I might be in for a day trip. Just ordered a new CV, so we'll see if I'm not to lazy to get it done.
