My bad, had it in my head that the 1GR-FE was putting out 305 ft-lbs for some reason. So it will be more fun to drive. So you're telling me the only thing I can complain about then is the front end looking like Sid? Damn.

One can never have too many light bars.
No More Dunlops! Although I like the SR5 rims much more than the TRD Rims. I knew the power would be in the 275HP/265lb ft range but I thought it would amount to better fuel economy. It's only better than my 2013 by about 2 MPG. Chevy is probably glad they have the better power and MPG stats but thats all the Colorado has on the new tacoma. I think the real winner is ford. They have better power and mpg stats in the massive F-150.

2011 has the best front end even though its just a minor cosmetic change to the center of the grille w/honeycomb insert, I miss my 2011.

In November of 2014 I took delivery of a GMC Canyon SLT. I was so happy that day. In June of 2015, after 7 months and 7000 miles of constant issues with it, I traded it in on a 2015 Tacoma. I was even happier that day. After 2 months and 2500 miles, I'm still as happy as the day I picked up the Tacoma. FYI, the Canyon is still sitting on the used car lot. I almost feel sorry for the poor guy that eventually buys it. I learned a 40,000.00 lesson.

    nothing cool
Im really glad I have a 2011 also because it saves me money from buying that TRD Pro grille insert. I'd have to have that it mine was a 2012+

Hang on to it, the 2011 is one of a kind model year.
I guess I never thought of it that way with the TRD Pro grille, makes sense.

ill definitely go to a lot at some point and take a DCSB trd OR 4x4 for a test drive to see how i like it. I wouldnt mind 2mpg's better (thats 10% more) but not for new truck prices.

Well then, I think I'll hold out for the 5th gen then. Hopefully it has flight capabilities by then

Can someone explain all the hate on this forum? So they've improved every aspect of the 2nd gen, but it's garbage

I have a 2007 off-road access cab standard. Can't wait till next year when I can get the same model in sand with an auto.

    Agreed.
Good luck with that Colorado. Make sure and post your maintenance and repair bills.

    Kysport,

What did have issues with? I just took a 2016 Colorado for a test drive, comparing (eventually) with a 2016 Tacoma. there was one, serious deficiency that I noted: the shifting of the automatic transmission. I think that foolery with the computer programming/transmission is how they get their claimed high horsepower/fuel efficiency numbers. Attempting to accelerate in this thing was just too weird: pushing down the pedal either caused the thing to rev high and do much of nothing, or fail to downshift and not even try to go forward. I think they have this thing set so that it barely accelerates unless really pushed, and barely hold onto a gear before shifting higher....resulting in high MPG, but a truly awful driving experience.

If the new Tacoma does not suffer from this, and is very responsive at the pedal, then they have my money....no amount of fancy gadgets, rear disc brakes, HP ratings, or trim could convince me otherwise.

LaPorta. You hit on the main reason I traded my Canyon although there were quite a few other issues with it. Absolutely hated driving it. Even to the point of being unsafe. Love my Tacoma. Absolutely no comparison. I laugh out loud when I read how good the Colorado/Canyon is.

No, the 'standard' bed for AC is 6 feet. They say it somewhere in the Spec PDFs
