Problems with that article: In-bed outlet has always been 400w. The 4 cylinder is not new. Tacomas have had backup cameras since '09.

    120V 400W is new...it was a 115V 400W :D so technically it is an upgrade

2 engine choices, the V6 is new

correct, backup cameras aren't new...but it is a nice feature that is kept within the new tailgate

Okay, so the author liked it so much he bought one. As for the Colorado/Canyon to not have anything to worry about? They only don't have anything NEW to worry about. They still have their same old worries: poor fit/finish, people like Tacomas better, on and on...

So the much improved mpg went from 15/19 to 18/23? That's nothing special to go write home about IMO.

demello also brought up a good point...

Torq is down "1" and both HP and Torq come in at a higher RPM than the previous generation. (2014 Horsepower: 236 @ 5200
Torque: 266 @ 4000 4.0 L/241) Looks like they are continuing the same fail they did with the new 4runner. Well at least it looks nice.

not to mention many of our favorite fabricators here will have some time to tinker with their own '16s, so when the '17 comes out you know there'll be some great aftermarket options

All Toyota has said is that they will probably bring back a Tacoma TRD Pro in the future. We don't know when yet...

I guess we read different articles: "There is NOT going to be a TRD PRO Tacoma for the 2016 model year (but there will be a TRD Pro in 2017)." The one I read was pretty clear.
