Coming home from work, A/C on max, everything working well. A/C compressor cycles off and light in on/off button starts to blink.....slow methodical blink.....not like a bad connection but like a turn signal. Slow...steady. Blower is still on high, everything else normal. I turned the A/C off, then back on. Compressor works, cold air, blower, etc. work fine. About two minutes later the compressor cycles off again. Do the same routine, turn it off and back on. It works.

I am coming up on the exit where my Toyota dealership is so I exit an pull into the service bay, explain to the service writer what the issue is and they look at me like I have lost my mind.

Of course I have now turned the car off and when they start it the A/C is functioning normally.

Anyone else heard of this? The way it blinks, it is almost like a fault indicator.

pull over and take vid with your phone next time.

I would have pushed harder at dealer. Just because it sounds weird to them they shouldn't dismiss you without an answer of plan for follow up

The other option if you are close to the dealer, don't turn it off, leave it on and blinking and drive to the dealer. That way they can see it. Leave the engine running in the service bay until they look at it.

sometimes if it is really hot out you can freeze up the system and it needs a few minutes to thaw out and work again

Installed Cooper At/3's (265/70R16) and ProComp 7089 Rims. Tinted front windows. Did the Fog Light Anytime mod. Did the tailgate mod. Added running boards. Adding sound Deadening from RAAMaudio. Replacing stock speakers with Polk Audio DB6501's.
Next time it does it pull over and take a video. I kept having problems with my 2013 Venza navigation screen getting lines it when on a long trip. When I would take it to dealer, problem was "gone". Showed them the video and they replaced the unit.

I've read of a few people having the same problem, I think one of them said that the clutch was on its way out and the rpm of the compressor input (clutch) wasn't matching the rpm of the compressor itself, therefore the computer was sensing an error and causing the light to blink. I think they said that the rubber had dry rotted and actually started to separate from the assembly. I'll edit my post and place a quote or link below if I can find it.
    Edit:
ac light blinking compressor is working...
    A/C light blinking
    AC light blinking??

    What he said ^^^

That is also true if the belt is slipping...

The blinking light is a fault indicator.
