Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
Thanks and I'll just be happy when this truck finally gets a chance to do some wheeling! Still not where I am ready to take her on a trail but she is getting closer and closer. Really once the sliders and winch are on she should be about there to start really breaking shit!

I don't wheel enough to justify a crawl box, at least not yet, but I still want one so hard. It's such a cool piece of equipment.

I'm on 33s and 4.56s with an auto. I'm heavy but I like it. I'd suggest the 4.88s for 35s especially with a bunch of extra weight

I wouldn't consider 285 skinny at all. Let's compare 2 Toyo ATIIs ( my favorite AT)

    285x75r17
    Overall diameter: 33.9
    Width: 11.3

    315x75r16
    Overall diameter: 34.6
    Width: 12.3

    35x12.50r17
    Overall diameter: 34.5
    Width: 12.5

The lack of need to hack fender is def from the inch dif on width, the height in 1/2". A 255 or 265 is more of a skinny. The 285 doesn't follow the road like the 265 does.
