So with the diamonds do you have to weld your own knuckleballs in? Is that why you went with TG?

Yea I didnt even realize til a couple weeks ago, have to use factory knuckle balls. This TG housing will make a much easier swap, and cheaper.

Yup, diamond will weld them if you cut them out, but I don't want to mess with all that with my limited space and tools. Diamond housings are badass, but TG housing is much easier and cheaper.

Yes but I have a 9.5" third, my options are limited. I don't have a problem welding them in, cutting them out is going to be the shitty part.

What's making you go with an aftermarket housing?

Ahh yes I keep forgetting about your 9.5. You have a better area and tools to work with than I do, you can handle it.i really wanted a diamond, but TG is much easier for me.

The front wheel spacers with 2.5" b.s. are destroying my firewall and tires. I want to be wide as hell on yota axles but still be able to turn the tires when flexed. This is the taco width housing

We will see I guess. I'm still trying to get my buddy to come off his fj80 rear too and I'd like to do a diamond rear so I can have a center diff with the 9.5" third. Have you tubbed your firewall yet? It really helped me clear my tires and I'm fj60 width, ifs hubs, and spacers. I did mine in a few hours start to finish.

I'll look at it tomorrow. I clear fine without the spacers, and should be better with width and I'm gonna move the axle another 1" forward anyway.

Thanks! On the TG housing? The tubes are offset for better ground clearance, I think that is what you see.

Sweet! 1UZ would be sick, but I think I'm leaning towards a 3rz swap down the road, I think it would be simpler.

@Scalded_Dawg i think is sitting at the 1uz edge, we need to push him over it!
