Well I'll have the front struts already built so put those in and the rear shocks and the 3 leaf AAL

 

This happened. 35s will be here Friday.

 

Front and rear shocks aren't too tough. The add a leaf will be hit or miss, shouldn't be too hateful. Some big clamps and make sure for everything you pb blaster or liquid wrench all bolts a few times starting the day before. Should be done in a day no problem.

Hello fellow Ohioans. Just ran across this thread. Used to be active in another Ohio thread. Upon reading several of the last pages I feel compelled to post. Please use caution when ovelanding/Wheeling/off highway using your trucks. As far as I am aware, AEP's properties are non-OHV use. If someone can document the legality of using unmarked trails as legit, please do so. Otherwise, please find another area to get the trucks dirty. I am well aware that the buckeye state brings much disappoint when trying to find a place to stretch the 4x4 legs, but as mentioned earlier in the thread doing so upon AEP's land can cause undue greif on others.

My father has a little more than 200 acres of forest land along the Muskingum and AEP borders this ground on several boundaries. I have had many trespassers whom told me that they were hunting AEP land while standing on my father's. They give me a very dumbfounded look when I inform them that only those lands designated for hunting by signage are legal to hunt with required permit.

That said, the only no rules, just right area I have come across is in Wellsville Ohio on the north east border. I haven't a clue who owns it, or what the legality is of this place. The trails are unmaintained and some are quite challenging. Before the hypocrisy thing comes up let me state that I was invited to wheel there with the Ohio TTORA club a few years back. Everything seemed kosher, but I have not returned and have no idea on the status of the place presently.

Not trying to be a negative Nancy, but wanted to give a little perspective on the subject. Other than Wellsville, I don't know of any free off-road areas. There are some private areas available for a fee. Maybe you all can dream bigger and plan an actual trip to a proper OHV facility. I also travelled with the TTORA club to Tellico before most of it closed and had an absolute blast. Roush Creek PA and Harlan County Kentucky are also some good destinations.

Again, if someone has documentation as to the legal usage of AEP lands please post it up. I would be interested to know where I can take my truck for a play date.
