I've been happy with my Apex bumper, the best part was it shipping the day after I ordered it. Could they have made it work with factory skid mounting locations, probably, but I don't think relocating the front skid plate mount is a bad design. I believe it adds a bit of clearance in a much need location.

As far as their skids go, I've beat on the front pretty good, it could use some reinforcement but it's held up just fine. I bent the shit out of their transmission skid, which was basically a flat sheet of 3/16. Which is why I fabbed a much better complete mid skid.

Spent the last couple weeks building a new rack for the Taco. Got tired of the kayak sticking way out the back of the truck and didn't want to pay for a roof rack. Tell me what you think.

Very nice! hatch or sedan? It is a bit sloppy in the turns but with a little suspension tweaking and some handling upgrades I think it should help clean it up a little bit.

Truck is looking awesome man. New bumper looks sharp!

Very cool! All that matters is that you're happy with what you got at the end of the day. I've contemplated selling my car a few times in the past but in reality I love it and it's what I wanted for such a long time. I originally wanted an 06-07 hawkeye sedan but I know what you mean, for a clean one they usually want way too much for them. I'm super happy with what I have and truthfully there's not another wrx/sti on the road that I'd want. I'm sure you could probably say the same for your brz.

Kinda funny that you brought up test driving a wrx cause I actually drove a Mazda Speed 3 last night. SO different compared to my car. The Speed 3 guy said he really liked my car. I liked the Speed 3 but i felt so out of place driving it lol. It just didn't have the Subaru feel to it and I couldn't get used to it.

Yeah absolutely. No reason to settle for less if that's what you really want.

If you thought the wrx was tall drive a Speed 3 haha. Felt like I was sitting in a Peterbilt compared to my car.

The wrx requires suspension imo. Otherwise the road feel isnt there like one would expect.

I liked the speed 3 the few times i drove a buddy's. But it wasnt really getting on it.

I agree. That was the first thing I noticed after taking it out on some twisty roads. I liked the speed 3 but after driving a wrx for almost a year it took a lot of getting used to. Granted I didn't drive it for very long and I really didn't get on it too hard. But certainly didn't dislike it. Hopefully I'll get the opportunity to swap keys with him for more than 10 minutes at some point.

Nice :). Well I am up there to scout elk and pay respect to a soldier from my old platoon that committed suicide back in May. If I find myself with a day off I'll be giving you a ring.

Sounds good man. Sorry to hear that though. Unfortunate circumstances to be up there but it'd be good to see you and hit the mountains for a bit.
