Anyone local got a log splitter I can rent for a day?

I am but thinking about heading up with a friend

 

Before we do any trips we gotta check with the rangers stations for fires in eastern WA. Remember that even tho its nice over here, half the state is on fire. I'm thinking about moving the lower section of the WABDR trip from next weekend, to maybe sometime in September since there is a forest fire by Mt. Adams which we drive right by. Same with that surprise lake, you guys might want to keep an eye on whats going on around there too.

 

I was thinking about that when I drove to Yakima on Sunday. As soon as I got to ellensburg it was hella smokey. It wasn't bad on my way back over 12/410.

 

That's good to hear about Chinook Pass. My Grandma/Grandpa run the Coulee City Campground, and they said they can't go outside without a mask so they're packing up and heading to the coast for fresh air. DNR has banned camp fires till Sept 30th, and i just checked the indecent reports and there are 24 active forest fires in WA.

 

That looks like ALOT of FREEDOM pedal!

Its so smokey here you can't see the hills. At all. Its horrible.

 

That was definitely a little eerie waking up to that much smoke Sunday morning even though the nearest fires were all the way up in Chelan.

 

Who here ride the MX track at evergreen speedway? Just saw a white AC with a Tacoma world sticker on the back window in the pits.

Anyone want to do a north west Washington trip? Put a 2.5 inch lift on my truck and feel like getting it dirty.

 

Show me a place that isn't driving down a FS road or literally pushing my truck through branches on an abandoned trail and I'm down

 

I can never find a good site for trail closures in Washington, but it's pretty safe to say the only trail system you can count on is Tahuya right now, and even there it's super dry. Most everything is on fire.
