That waas not a question, TRD sport is going to be an option just like Diesel in Colorado. How much return on investment you got by going with TRD sport instead of SR5 ?

Also my truck with V8 has options that Your Ford will never have , thats why I bought it... (functionality)

Is this Disel a new fuel you've been working on :p.

If your asking how much money did my scoop earn me, none. Then again I lost money by not running my Ranger, which I would still have if my exwife didn't talk me into trading it in, which I would of saved a butt ton of money because it was paid off and got 17 mpg just fine. Also when I bought my truck it was the only truck with heated seats (live in Canada where it's f'ing cold and see what you'd pick) and the only truck with 4x4 sitting on lot that wasn't black. I didn't want to wait for an order for an SR5 that was missing the tow package and it's goodies or the heated seats for no savings because I was only getting the $5K off because my exwife was a crappy salesperson and the deal was only for the truck on lot.

I'm not getting your point by asking that question? For example, I could ask you what about the fact that you can get a Colorado base model, IE not WT, SLE, or SLT, in Canada with the automatic locker (which is basically a nice LSD), plastic floors, a decent stereo, and the convenience package for under $35K CAD. The base model won't have the Diesel option available. So to get one I'd have to go SLE, which costs another $3K and then add another $5K (CAD of course) on top of that. Not to mention I'd probably lose at least $10K off of all the mods I've made that I'd have to do to the Colorado to get it to where my Tacoma is for Offroading. So now please explain to me how $18K of costs is going to pay back for me? Maybe if I bum love Diesel like you do, but honestly I don't care what fuel is in the tank so I'll keep my Tacoma. If I needed a commuter I could get a used Focus, Corolla, or Civic for half of that ($9K) and still have money left over to keep wheeling my Tacoma on weekends when I can get free.

You went into full rant mode instead of answering question..
Above you claimed That in case of Diesel
Diesel is an option just like TRD sport so how much return on TRD sport you got...?
I tell you what, if I have a diesel than I am keeping almost $4000 in gasoline money a year again. How is that for a return ? Can you drive for free ?

Can your TRD sport get you $4000 a year back ?

If this is your worry I suggest searching for Tacoma windshield water leak, and Tacoma low transmission fluid from factory... Same stuff to the point that I am thinking maybe Tacoma was designed by GM secretly (outsourced)

You won't be driving for free when you fudge up and get water in your injectors. GM will smell the vegetable oil and it's game over for you.

How on gods green earth are you spending $4K american to run a Tacoma in your neck of the woods. Even at Canadian gas prices with 15K miles per year I'm only paying $3000 a year in gas. You'd have to either drive 25K a year, which doesn't make sense because you say you drive your Tundra all the time, or you'd have to be paying higher gas prices than we do in Canada when in reality you pay under 2/3 of what I pay on average for gas.

Never heard of leaking windshields on Tacoma, though mine whistled. There are two mouldings made for the Tacoma. They switched mine to the other version and the problem disappeared.

The low fluid never caused any failures that I know of because it was only a quart low. TBH you can be almost 2 quarts low in our transmissions and it will still be fine in most conditions.

The Colorado owners that are complaining have fried ECU's in the dash from the water, which isn't a problem Toyota has, and the transmission issues have been electronic with the odd grenade failure. Jeez, I thought working for GM you'd know more about the issues but I guess you aren't allow to talk about them jks.

My vehicles don't go to dealer, I am the warranty and service..
My Tacoma had seen Toyota dealership in 9 years 4 times
    #1 When was bought
#2 When they replaced suspension due to recall.
#3 When I went to complain about frame rusting
#4 When they have to replace my frame because it rusted, because Toyota did not listen when I complained.

You need to search about water leak... its there.
Low transmission fluid will affect how transmission shifts.

Injectors still cost a pretty penny. You won't be getting them on warranty so you'll be paying out of pocket. I think we are far enough off topic. Anyways, people can read and figure out what options and engines works best for them rather than this personal squabble starting all over again.

You don't need to search 355nation to find all of the wet dash/passenger carpet issues. Which lead into threads about ECU's shorting out.

A transmission that shifts a bit funny is quite different from one that won't shift at all, which is what happens eventually to the Colorado transmissions.

I'm not saying the Tacoma is perfect. It's not. The problems that exist with rust are stupid and hopefully won't continue. GM's issues though are happening on brand new trucks and GM isn't even fixing it in a lot of cases until they are forced too.

My point was that if you think Diesel is not the option that will return your investment, TRD sport definitely is and option that will not return investment.
    Diesel atleast gives you opportunity.
I would rather spend $3k on Diesel than TRD Sport.

Oh and I went to dealership near me which is Chevy and Nissan at the same time (too funny) and I was told I will be able to configure either diesel with bare minimums as fleet truck buyers get.

Okay, good for you. We had the same point. If you want the Diesel buy the Diesel. Don't buy it though expecting it to save you a bunch of money really fast. Buy it because you like the engine and it's features for towing, hauling, etc.

GM's official release said WT and Base models will not get the Diesel option. The GM dealers full of shit in all likelyhood, which we both know is true. Nissan is making a base model Titan XD though, from what I've heard. That truck will be much like the heavy half GM used to make except it will be Diesel. If it can hold together better than the last gen I could see that truck being popular in the patch where they prefer Diesel so everything runs on one safer to have spill fuel.

Still no pricing on the XD though, which worries me because Nissan was never that aggressive with pricing the Titan until it went tits up after 2-3 years of issues. I'm guessing the Nissan will be about the same cost as a Ram 2500 Diesel but less capable.

WTF. Brand new truck and already LS swap . It looks like a town truck too, who needs an LS in a town truck?

Thought, TBH, I have been thinking about one day doing a 3.5 Ecoboost swap into my Tacoma. Only once the engine is over 100K. The sale of the S/C with engine should cover a lot of the cost of buying a performance crate Ecoboost with ECU.

V8 swaps have always been a popular mod in the Chevy small truck scene.

Yeah but jeez, that was quick! I always though it was funny how GM put the 327 in the Colorado because of all the swaps and yet the 327 Colorado didn't sell well at all. I think a lot of the swap has to do with the bragging rights for doing it and, well, because LS right?

and if you scroll through those forums you will see a surprising amount of threads pertaining to issues people are already having on their new trucks.
