Sorry to thread jack, but how easy was the swap? I have the set up I mentioned and I really want a tach in my cluster but I wasn't sure if it could be done/if all the proper wires were there from the factory.

not a thread jack at all. It is literally plug and play. There are only 2 things to keep in mind, you need an 01-04 cluster and it has to be the same cyl engine. Mine is a 5 lug and has the 2.4 but i'm using a cluster out of a 3rz prerunner

    So my 2001 has a 2.7l so I'd need a 2001-2004 2.7 cluster?
What about milage readings and such...? Is there someway to make the digital one match my dial one?

the milage will be off unless you get a cluster with similar milage. since we have electronic clusters, the milage works the same on the digital one as it does on the dial one. the only thing you will probably end up needing to do is locate a company who will re calibrate your odometer

Aight i'll keep an eye out.. It's really a super easy swap hardest part is taking the dash apart and thats not really hard so much as its just time consuming to make sure you take out and replace all the bolts/ screws

And now for the update that I never imagined I would have to write. Aug 10 of this year, a girl in a dodge mega cab made an unprotected left in front of me. Luckily everyone was OK, but my truck not so much. I just got news yesterday from their insurance that my Truck will be totaled and I'm waiting on them to appraise and make their offer. I'm looking to stay in the taco family, we'll see what happens.
