I just wonder why people spend so much time gripping about something that they don't even drive on a regular basis? That would be like me gripping about F-250s or Dodge Rams or Chevy Duramax diesels. I don't have any of them, I've got no vested interest in any of them, but if someone else chooses to drive them, more power to them. To me, if I gripe about something that I don't have, it's kind of like telling a buddy that his girlfriend's ugly. Hey, if he wants to date an ugly girl, who am I to complain.

You missing the point, people gripe that new Toyota offering is crap, many people were expecting to buy 2016 Tacoma because they hold on to their 2005-2007 Tacoma waiting for new model. Well new model came and its total crap.

The styling is uglier that the previous model the mpg aren't the best and it seems that you may as well buy a full size cause the last 2 gens are not much smaller than a fill size. I will still consider another Toyota but only a fool would get excited about the [new] model. It is hard to not buy a F150 2.7 for the cost.

The platform is 10 years old...they had time. Hell, most of us on here have a pretty damn good idea on how the truck should of been built.

Totally agree with this. Obviously GM, Ford, and hell... even Dodge sells trucks in great numbers. Toyota can only keep on falling back on "yeah, they are reliable" for so long.

And really...everything is so good now-a-days...well except Dodge ( :D ), you can't go wrong.

After reading the articles and looking pics, what an awful design in terms of visual and powertrain...
I think they messed up on this model big time.. and I agree 100% on the 4cyl.. belongs in single cab 5 lugs only. not a huge extra cab 4x4.

Remember the five lug four banger is a favorite as a fleet vehicle. So they'll be around for awhile.

Yup, my point was more that they are purchased as fleet trucks.

ahh...i see, said the deaf man. :D

Seems odd to me that they killed it off, apparently they needed to trim the fat. You would think they could of passed off the savings to the consumer...like most things these days, products getting chinzy...yet getting more expensive. I remember when a pound of coffee was actually a pound of coffee...
