After our Ohio Meet, Great and Ride last weekend, a few people expressed interested in getting together to install various mods or perform maintenance items. I'm willing to host the event at my home in Troy, OH. It's not exactly mid-Ohio but fairly convenient for the Columbus/Cincinnati guys. I'm about an hour and 15 mins from each and only about 25 mins North of Dayton along I-75.

I have a decent collection of Craftsman hand tools, a 3-ton jack and stands, a 30 gal air compressor, impact wrench, Haynes manual for 2nd gen, etc.; which should handle most tasks without people needing to bring their own tools. What I don't have: Hi-Lift for those dudes that have lifts, spring compressors (unless you want to chance the screw-down type that works fine on my wife's Mazda 3) and other specialty tools. I do have an OBDII reader if anyone needs some diagnostic help.

I'm going to create a poll so people can vote on a particular weekend. Each person can submit 2 votes in case multiple dates work. Obviously, as the host, I'm only including dates that I know I'll be in town and available for hosting. Please vote only if you intend to come to this event so I can get an accurate count and best accommodate those looking/needing to do some work to their rig. After we're tired of wrenching, I'll fire the grill up and we can have a good ol' fashioned cookout!

Sorry bud, forgot about this thread but have voted now. Sunday is my only for sure day off with the new job (assuming they give it to me this Friday):fingerscrossed:

I'll need a couple weeks to get my exhaust sorted before I'm willing to drive an hour away.. although I'm not sure I want to show up for wrench day with all my new suspension stuff as there likely won't be time to put it on. Probably will need to cut some bolts off anyway.. might be a PITA that I don't want to drag yall into. F-ing rusty 1st gens!

I'll at least try to attend for hanging out and beer-population management activities:thumbsup:

Where are Rob and Greg's votes? They are the 2 that specifically asked for a wrench day and they haven't voted yet! As of right now, I think the day will be Sunday, September 13th unless the votes drastically swing in another direction.

Not that anyone seems to pay attention to this thread, but it doesn't make sense to me to keep clogging the OHIO Meet and Great Thread for this one specific event.

    A Couple of Agenda Items:
    1. I'm going to cut the voting for date of event off this FRIDAY, 08/21/15 @11:59PM, so please submit your votes ASAP.
    2. In the interest of making sure we have enough time and resources to complete everyone's projects - please post what mod/repair/maintenance item(s) you hope to accomplish in this Wrench Fest/Mod Day. (See my next thread as example and follow my lead).
    3. I will likely only have space for 1 vehicle in my garage and room in the driveway for another 2 Tacos to get worked on simultaneously, so we might have to get creative.

Example to follow (see thread above):

"Hi, I'm Todd and MYTACO would like to have Flowmaster Thunder Series Cat-back Exhaust System Installed, Volant CAI Installed, Bilstein 5100s (Front and Rears) Installed AND finally a tranny fluid exchange!"

I know there's no way in Hell that I'll be able to get all these things done, but hopefully I can do 2 of the 4 items.

Todd I have another jack that may go a little higher I can bring. I've got 4 jack stands as well, two of those are 6 ton and go pretty high. I can bring a pretty good set of tools, although I have no air tools. I would like to change my trans fluid, maybe try to get the brake line off in the back that's rounded out and the extended line on. Definitely help you guys get those lifts on!

I have a high lift, also have a air hammer, 1/2 in impact air and plug in, 3/8 impact. Big ass pry bars, hammers. Do you have a compressor for air tools lol. I can bring a few jack stands also. I'm coming for the beer and maybe change my oil.

Also have a few 2 and three ton small jacks that work pretty well also. If you guys need a special tool for something just ask and I can get it from my old man.

Yes, I have a 30 gallon air compressor. My 1/2 pneumatic impact is on the fritz, so I'd appreciate it if you could bring yours...although I think this event is a good excuse for me to buy a new one!

OFFICIAL WRENCH DATE IS SET: Sunday, September 13th!!
There were 5 votes for that date...of course I didn't bother writing down the 5 members that voted for that date before I deleted the poll, so I'm not sure who is planning on attending.

Attendees that I know of: bluewaters, wheelinthesky, smithr1730, outdoorwhore, and I think the MGTACO?

For those planning on attending, please send me a PM to receive my address. Looking forward to a Taco Party! I'll bring the Taco Bell!!

I have a full OME kit that needs putting on that I won't bother bringing because there will not be time to install it. I suppose I'd like to do rear diff breather mod as well as a diff fluid change. Might as well do an oil change as well, it's been 51/2 or 6 thousand miles since my last one. If anyone can think of a way to bend my door back so it makes a better seal I'm happy to give it a try...

As for this thread getting ignored, certain threads do not show up in my alerts for whatever reason and this is one of them.
