Surprising. Very good brand tent. Venting looks good too.
Wonder why it was dripping wet?

Yeah I don't know? It was snowing and raining pretty good but they do have good ventilation at both ends. It's more than I've seen with my other tents like the Walrus.

Man that is a costly tent! I haven't had any condensation issues with my Seek Outside tipi.

Peerunner- I've thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail, Colorado Trail and few others and I've got my pack weight down to between 8 to 10 lbs. I haven't read through all the threads to see what people have suggested, but for me the gear completely depends on the conditions. In the high desert we don't have as many bugs so I lose the tent most times if I'm backpacking close by (Rockies or Sangre's), but I just invested in Mountain Laurel Designs 11oz cuben fiber tent called the Solomid for rainy or buggy conditions. (http://www.mountainlaureldesigns.com) and during the last trip thrashed my Gossamer Gear pack, opting for ZPack's 21oz Arc Blast pack (http://www.zpacks.com). I'll take a homemade alcohol stove in the low country, but for higher altitude hikes I bring a canister and Soto's Micro Regulator stove at 2.6oz. Other than that, a closed cell foam Thermarest Z-Lite pad or a NeoAir, depending on the weight/comfort I'm trying to achieve, iodine tabs or a filter for water, etc. Less is more, I suppose. My less than stellar knees thank me for going light each time I get out to the back country. My girlfriend, of course, could care less about this mild obsession.

Once you go cuben I don't think "mild obsession" is even in your dictionary anymore! Planning a Triple Crown before it's all over?

I have a montbell #1, my dog chewed up my -40 bag from them though. All my gear is montbell. Might start parting it out though if you're interested. 2 bags, 2 packs, just sold the jupiter dome tent which is no longer available in the US, and 3 mattress pads that clasp together at the corners.

I blame the obsession on my knee replacement (and -maybe- the desire to be out there away from everyone, just walking around) I finished the PCT five years ago, definitely plan on the CDT (as I live only about four and a half hours north of the southern terminus and less than an hour west of the northern NM section in the Rio Chama valley) but the amount of folks who attempt to thru-hike the AT every year is kind of a turn off. Nothing against that beautiful trail, because I've section hiked parts of it, but the trail party isn't my thing. A few photos of last weekends nineteen mile romp above 12,000 ft in the Sangre de Cristo mountains: east Pecos Baldly lake, bristlecone pines and fireweed in a burn area

Agreed on that. The AT is stunning, but not my kind of hiking.

Older style always stored in the larger loose sack, they've since changed their rating system but this one is good to 5 degrees at the time of purchase about ten years ago. This was right before the spiral hugger came out so it's standard stretchy baffle. You will have a huge advantage in any sleeping bag wrestling match due to to this. That alone is worth it haha. Orange and black color scheme with the baffle around the zipper and the neckline.

How tall are you? Bag length might have killed it. The hood would be of questionable use with me at 6'7".
