Last camping trip i did i went to pull my abs fuse to disable it for offroad driving, i realized its not a normal fuse its one of those bolt in fuses. is there any way to disable the abs without splicing in a switch?

Good god you are getting taken for a ride. I don't know which engine/configuration you have, but the most expensive pan they have (non-prerunner) is only $140 on camelback Toyota. FIPG is a dime a dozen. You can use the toyota one or whatever black gorilla snot you want from auto parts store.

Regardless...if the pan is actually leaking, what I was getting at is it's just steel. You can weld right over the crack or hole or whatever is leaking. I welded mine when I threw a rod through my oil pan and it's been fine for like 4 years now.

Unbolt the fuse and don't bolt it back in.
Then remove the light bulb from the back of the instrument cluster.

Correct. I have no use for something that makes me stop slower and nannies me for threshold breaking.

I see. Thanks for the tip. yeah i was lookin on camelback and i can get a new oil pan for the 3rz for 120 not 190 like they quoted me. but if it is leaking at the gasket I'm guessing I would have to remove the front diff to get at the oil pan drop it and replace the gasket?

I don't know much about the 3rz. But if it's anything like the 5vz, it's just FIPG between the pan and the block.
And yes, you'd likely have to pull the diff to get to the pan. Event that is pretty simple with our trucks. Pull the CV's, 4 bolts on the driveshaft, 2 bolts and one 10mm allen nut on the diff, couple vacuum lines and plugs and you're done.

IMO...you should find the leak. If it's right up front on the pan or something it could be a 5 second rosette weld and you're done.

Assuming its pan-block leakage, and not a crack in the oil pan, you could try and re-torque the pan bolts. Thats what I would do. You'd need an inch-pound torque wrench to do it right. For the 3.4 (FIPG, no gasket), the manual calls for 67 INCH-pounds ( about 5.5 foot pounds). Not sure about the 2.7.

Is your front bumper missing the side mounts?

Did you relocate your rear dif breather before dunking the rear axle like that?

They are hangin on for dear life. Smashed that semi new to me bumper at least 5 times.
Haven't had time to take it off and smash it back normal again.

    And @Fernando I agree.

Hmmmm... Are you supposed too relocate it before putting it underwater? Mines been submerged for maybe 45 seconds in a river crossing twice. Didn't know any better

It's a good idea, it can suck water in through the breather when submerged. If everything is working properly the stock location will be fine most of the time but I would check the dif for water every time I dunked it with a stock breather...
