Paid for vacation to Florida? :) I thought about making a second set and trying to sell it and maybe a second time around would be faster but it is still a lot of work and $$$ between the bonding glue and other material its about$100-$150 in material not including your time and second set of flares. I think I still have enough flares and material to make an extra set :)
Plus then you still need to find a GOOD body guy for prep and paint... and I mean good, not your typical body shop

Edit: unless you do it yourself or $$$ is not a problem for you, you are better off flopping in the wind ;-)

You gotta check out the problem.. you either have a brocken tab clip mount on the flare or a bad clip. If I need any clips I buy them from the dealer, I dont mess with aftermarket once! I'm sure there are descent clips out there and I know stock is expensive if you're replacing a bunch of them but you gotta do what you gotta do to make it work good and look right. Last thing you want is to lose a flare.
You will hear each clip click in when you press it in if they are in good shape[/QUOTE]
Well that top one does happen to be one where the mount on the fender broke in 2 and I had JB welded it back together. I broke the mount again trying to fix it  GRRRR

I used a solder gun to plastic weld back on then some plastic bonding adhesive ($50ish) a tube. But if you buy enough (one time use) tips the one tube would do a lot of clips

No, I dont think I'd be able to build it cheap enough to cover the cost of the flares, material and time I'd habe to invest. I've thought about it! Either modifying some to sell or having a company duplicate them for me

I honestly can't believe their isn't a company (to my knowledge) that doesnt make flares specifically for our trucks already "skinny" to fit bigger tires. (With out getting glass)
Seems like a no brainier easy thing to do for companies already setup making these things. Just make a set 2" shorter and pow! A whole new market full of customers.

Make a mold of them and sell that off to someone that has the ability to make flares?

The easiest route would have them made in black ABS plastic with a smooth finish. That would allow us to either run them naked, or color match them. Having sets made and then painted would more than likely be cost prohibitive.

And for goodness sake let them be easy to mount. I am so sick of the clip bullshit it is crazy. Have a flat lip with automotive grade 3m adhesive tape and slap the things on......
I'll take the first set to review

No factory clips? Having the clips will make it easier to line them up properly.

I'm guessing that no one wants a pocket style flare, right? The pocket style are a lot easier to attach, just through bolt to the fender.

I would much rather have gone for a pocket style flare! Just didn't want to spend the money on Bushwackers just to cut them up.

Those clips just break off so easy imo. And the brackets that are actually on the flare that the clips attach to peel off like butter. I mean maybe if it were stronger than the OEM clip holders otherwise I would be pissed if mine broke off right off the bat or when wheeling and it gets ripped off and I am dealing with no way to reattach because of broken clip holders.

I mention the "stick on" simply because if ripped off on the trail you can just add new tape and slap it back on not dealing with broken pieces and plastic welding clip holders and such annoyances like that. Lining it up should be no different than lining up a bedside decal or Any other stick on badge....take your time and do it right and all should be good.
