Man, you're killing me. I'm almost done my IFS 4x4 conversion, but now I'm thinking SAS would be awesome. BTW, thanks for the helpful info for the conversion. You probably don't remember, but about a year ago I asked you a bunch of questions on TTORA. You pointed me to Westminster Transmission, they worked out really well. Thanks again.

How did I miss this thread?!

Your first pics aren't working anymore but it's looking damn good!

Any reason your sway bar is still on? You still got your front diff for sale?

Thanks for the heads up, got it fixed now, was reorganizing the pics.

Front diff was already sold to Ryan @Reh5108

Front sway bar is staying on to try out a removable sway bar link setup. For now....otherwise something like a Anti-rock will be used for the front.

@jowybyo At first I didnt, but went back on ttora and checked my pms. Did you end up swapping the output shaft as planned?

They did a great job on mine and to this day (100k miles later) still no issues.

Sure did. Pulled the transmission and took it to them. I brought the new output shaft as well. It took about a month to get it done because I didn't know I needed a different speed sensor gear with the new output shaft. No one had it available so I had to wait to get that in. I also had Westminster Trans cut my drive shaft. I probably could have done that myself, but for $50 I just paid them to do it.

I'm still finishing up the wiring on my conversion. I got an E-shift Taco transfer case really cheap so I decided to go with that instead of the FJ case. I had to come up with a custom control circuit to shift it since I didn't get the 4wd ecu. should be finishing that up in the next few weeks.

    Word, looks good dude

And that's what I thought but was just checking. Can't decide between 4.88's and 5.29's right now anyway. Hoping if I go to 5.29's I won't need a crawlbox.

Right on, glad it worked out for you ! I scored a 4wd trans for the swap that I tore apart that had that speedo gear, not an easy part to get.

No need for the 4wd ecu, much easier to wire a switch up instead, did the same thing but with the add diff and a j shift tcase.

    Checkout www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html

Play with that calculator, calculations are dead on. It can do a side by side comparison of factory tire size and gears to a Regeared & bigger tires spec. It is what I used, 3.4, 4.88, 35s, auto + expo trailer pulls 80mph without hunting for gears.

Yea I wish I could have found a cheap 340f core.

The ADD was easy, but shifting the transfer case is a bit more complex. Got a buddy of mine, who's an Electrical Engineer, to help me create the circuit. Took a 3 position rotary switch and 6 DPDT relays to make it happen. I should have just went with the J shift box. Oh well, I can always change it when I do a SAS :)

Did that put you pretty close to factory Ratio? If I figured everything correctly the 4.88s with 33s should put me very close to the 4.30 and stock tires.

Diff is sitting on the floor collecting dust :(
This new girlfriend is more expensive than the last making it hard to save monies for a 3rd! Not to mention all the little things that keep breaking.

Your damn right it will! Haha I think you have the right order. Finish truck then find female. I'm finding it impossible trying to do both at the same time lol.

Tell her you need better springs to handle the weight of the home improvements.
