I recently gave my son my '96 SR5. After spending months waiting for a '16 Tacoma... I'm buying a '15 Tacoma. I was not impressed with the specs and value of the '16. So now I'm scrambling to get a '15 while I can. I will join the Gen2 Nation!

I have a quote for a new 2015 DCSB 4x4 Sport, tow package, Nav, automatic, all-weather mats. $31,500 + TTL. Price includes dealer fees etc. This is in Colorado.

    Any thoughts on this price?

That is what I did. Bought the 15 I wanted before they were gone in case I did not like the 16. Pricing is interesting right now because the 16 is not looking like a barn burner. More people may opt for the longer reliable manufactured vehicle rather than a first year all new design and drive train. Dealer here is discounting the 15s $2000 but that is misleading because they have a $1200 Pack on every truck and the Doc Fees are $350 so basically they are discounting $500. Not having any issues selling the 15s.

I would think thats a good price for a 4x4 Sport. I am finding out The 16s will be higher for the ame model

I traded a 14 with 20K on the same new 15 for $4500 with tint, pinstriping, Toyota Running boards. Basically got the 15 for a little less than $500 off MSRP OTD.(Sales tax is capped at $300 here) I would not sell the truck at this point for less than $29K. I just don't see the 16 bringing the house down on sales. The Miata ND was a new design and 1000 of them were pre ordered in MAY for August delivery. That is quite an upgrade though,

    If I don't buy the 16 Tacoma I will replace my 12 MX5 with the 16

You guys are making me feel good about this price!! This is Magnetic Gray, BTW. And it is fresh off the delivery truck -- will arrive Aug 28th.

I really think this is the best way to shop for a new vehicle: email 5 dealerships; tell each dealership you are emailing everyone; and say "lowest price wins." And my local dealer already told me in an email "I want your local business, I'll beat any legit offer you get." And she did. Woot.

I agree, I need to go over there and sign papers, lock down the price.

That's a great price...I spent the same amount back in 12' on the same exact model but without the navi I'd go for it and not look back...

    Hi all. First time poster.

I'm actively looking as well on Autotrader for a White 2015 TRD AC, either Sport or OR with auto trans. Unfortunately we have only two dealers in town, both owned by the same conglomerate, so I've written them off

Have a request for quote with a dealer in Ohio. Will let you know what they come up with. Since I'd have to fly there and drive I'm keeping those costs in mind. Thinking if I can get something around $3K off MSRP I'll bite. I'd like to shoot it by you guys first.

I hope I'm not committing a hijack, but hope if gives others looking some info in one place. If so, apologies to the OP.

Here's the breakdown of what I'm being offered for TRD OR, AC, auto trans, Entune Audio Plus and tow package. (I pay the tax in my home state). Figure it'll cost me around $600 to fly out and drive home.

    MSRP: $33,614
    Optional Phantom Footprint: $99
    Optional Permaplate: $395
    Tag: $33.50
    Doc: $250
    Out the door: $30,275.50

    What say you TW?

Believe me, where I live that would have been a great price from any of the local dealers. Good on you. Thanks for the input!
