help transmission leak

    I have transmission fluid leaking between the bell housing and motor, any ideas on what a maybe? Or anyone else have the same issue?

    Possibly the front seal.

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    if its just the front seal on the tranny its a simply $5 fix and your good to go, the PITA is dropping and reinstalling the tranny

    also if its manual you will almost certainly need a clutch because weather its oil soaked or not, it doesn't make sense to not put in a new clutch and throw out bearing while its out.

    Its an 3.4 automatic trans and its trans fluid, what is PITA?

    Getting any transmission in and out. Having an extra dude there will help a lot.
