    2015 DCLB
I got my 2015 DCLB TRD sport about three weeks ago.
Bottom line is, I paid approximately $47,000 Canadian. I paid full MSRP.
However, I did get a good trade in allowance.

I traded in my piece of shiet Mazda 3 with significant cosmetic damages for more than I can sell it. The bumper was out of wack, there were holes in the bumper, some damages to the doors etc. Transmission check light on, I think it had leaky shocks too. If I were to sell the Mazda privately, I would be lucky to get $5,000.
One strength it had was the low mileage. It only had 75,000 kilometers which is not bad for a 2008.
So one day I brought the Mazda 3 into my local Toyota dealership to get an idea how much trade in I can get. I talked to this sales associate who is 18 years old with 2 months of car sales experience. That was probably why he was so nice. I tell him I'm interested in trading in the Mazda for a fully loaded Tacoma. He goes inspects my Mazda, then comes back and asks me how much trade in I expect. I tell him not a penny less than $8,000, (although I was more than willing to take $5,000 lol) he goes talk to his manager and comes back smiling like a happiest toddler in the world and tells me he'll do it. I start smiling just like him. I did suspect if he really inspected the vehicle thoroughly because if I was him, I would NEVER offer $8,000. But who cares? It wasn't my problem.
I sign a commitment, pay $1,000 for deposit and he tells me it will be about a week until they find my Tacoma in configuration I want. What a long week that was.
After the long wait came delivery date, I drive my Mazda to the dealership. The finance guy tells me he will be about 5 minutes. We end up waiting 120 minutes instead of 5 but that was okay. He looked like he had too much shit on his plate so I understood.
Before getting the paperwork ready, the finance guy steps outside to do a final check on the Mazda. He doesn't come back for a while so I go outside to check on him and he has a serious look on his face. It almost looked as if he lost all his money at the casino. He asks me if the damages on the Mazda are fresh. I tell him those have been there for 4 years now. He lights up a cigarette, takes photos and calls his manager. I go back inside and wait. A couple minutes later, he comes in and tells me the trade in amount has to be revised because those damages were not seen when they inspected the vehicle a week ago.

I didn't say 'fuck off' per se, but I'm pretty sure he noticed 'fuck off' from my look. I ask him why he's wasting my time. I also tell him when I bought a Mercedes E350 about 6 years ago, the newbie sales associate mistakenly omited the freight/PDI charge on the quote, but they honoured the fucking quote anyways. Just when I was about to walk away, he asks me if I am willing to settle for $7,600 instead of $8,000. I reluctantly respond yes.

Two thumbs up for giving me such a nice trade in value.

All 10 fingers down for the finance manager who came into the office reeking like a burned cigarette butt, who threw pen on his desk in front of me because I refused the revision of my trade in, who went on and on about extended warranty even though I told him multiple times I'm not interested.

But most importantly, I am very satisfied with the truck.

Thankfully My dealer is pretty good. I bought a used 14 with 19K, returned it the next day and bought a new 15. Same exact truck, color etc for $4000 more plus the running boards.. They could have really bent me over. I think they put $25500 on the 14 and discounted the 15 to make it work. I will reserve further judgment when the 16s hit the floor. After all was said and done they over allowed $2000 on a RAV 4 trade for the 14. (CarMax offered $2000 less which was "good" wholesale book.)

When I got the 14 home I realized no manuals, only one key fob and damaged tailgate, That's when I looked at the Internet and saw the same truck in a 15 and went back and swapped titles.

Wow. Nice on the trade I guess. It sounds like most guys pays about 43K for the TRD Sport taxes in so after your up value on the Mazda you didn't make out that bad.

All these stories about dealers trying to walk out on deals the sales people have made turns my gut. If that ever happens to me that dealer will get a big fuck no. There's more than enough Toyota dealers within driving distance that would glady not pull that BS on me.

Finance guys make all their commission from those warranties. You say no and he doesn't get as good a paycheck. I wanted the warranty and I still had to fight for over an hour to get it for a price I was willing to pay, and even then it was only because I was literally getting my jacket from the salespersons (my ex wife actually lol) office on my way out when he found my and accepted the deal.

I guess it's nice to live in a small community. No hassles in buying my Pro, only got about $800 off of msrp, but that was $800 more than most dealers would do and many were adding big $$. Bit of a hassle to "not get" the extended warranty etc, but was still only about an hour of sitting in the finance office....and I was paying cash. Have done quite a bit of vehicle buying over the years and what seems to help a great deal is if they know up front that you don't "have to have the vehicle" and will simply walk if they don't do your deal. Then again, I kinda like "playing" with them.

Just bought and and going to pickup a 2015 4x4 double cab long box with TRD sport pkg on friday. All in with taxes it was $42,000. Used carcostcanada in my purchase and got about $2000 off cost ($1680 discount plus tax).

Yeah, I paid 37K in back in 2013 :anonymous:. I can't remember if taxes were in that or not but I think so. Financed over 5 years at 1.9% (Or maybe it's 0.9%, I lost my password to check it without calling in lol) with a 7 year warranty and I had to eat a grand from my Juke because it wasn't very old. My total cost was right around 40-41K including the financing charges, warranty, and 1K of negative equity. I put down a couple of grand on the truck too so the payment is around $600 per month. I chip in a bit from my bonus against the truck each year so hopefully it will work out to be a 4 year loan.

I got a bit of a steal of a deal on both the truck and trade because I bought from my ex wife. She was having a rough time making sales and I wanted back into a truck. I test drove a TRD Sport, wanted a TRD OR and found out the no DC in Canada, so I made an offer on the truck. It was surprisingly accepted. I named my payment and how much I wanted for the Juke. It was accepted to. The only hang up was with the finance manager over the warranty, which he accepted after I got up to walk away.

Oh, and I almost forgot, because I was only out of school for a year (finished up my university while working after dropping out to make some money for my family at the time) I also received a $500 dollar cheque from Toyota which went towards my first mod.
