Got 4 inch Pro Comp Lift on my 2001 TRD , looking at getting 305/70/R16 or 285/70R16

Looking to see if guys who have been running this kind of setup are rubbing bad while off-roading?

I hear there is rubbing problems with rubbing on frames on with 3 inch lifts.

Dam read the thread title and though this was a thread about a massage with a happy ending gone wrong titled "bad rubbing".

But on that note my brother in law went with an additional 1 inch body lift and his "bad rubbing" went away.

You'll way more rubbing issues with 305/70/16 than 285/70/16

Yup 305 is a little over a 34 inch tire width correct?

Depends. If it was a 305/75/16 then true measurements would be 33.5-34. If he wants a 305/70/16 then its the same diameter as a 285 but the width of a 305.

Yup And it's the width that will get you the bad rub!

You can call me a liar all you want to friend.I know what the hell is on my truck.the only thing not stock is the wheels.they are 16" tundra wheels.I don't know if that makes a difference or not.but there is absolutely no rubbing on my truck.you are more than welcome to come look and drive it.

Unless you cut your fenders and beat the pinch weld back theres no possible way to run 285's on stock suspension without rubbing.. Post pictures of your front suspension and truck

@Fallguy6666 Ill do it and call you a liar. Or misinformed at the least

Even with a 2.5"-3" lift and pinch weld cut off I rubbed my 285s. At lock on the frame, and on the inner fender over bumps while turning. 285/75/16 on stock suspension would rub for sure.

Not sure about 1st gens but 2nd gens you have to run a wheel spacer to clear the UCA on 285's and stock wheels, which in return would make rubbing worse
