Same and it pisses me off. Went to pick it up last week after they did their factory service at 15k, took them 25 minutes just to bring it from out back to the front so I could leave. Truck was done hours before that. It is like that every time I go. Once the service plan is up, I will never go in to the dealer again for service.

Funny you should bring up the paper filter. On my last free toyota care appointment I was sitting down with the service adviser and he was doing a full court press on why I should continue it for the next two years at a cost of $275 or $325 which ever one it was. He said the incabin filter service alone would cost me $125 and that it easier for me to just bring it in and have it done vs me doing it myself. I was speechless. I guess people fall victim to this shit.

I Agree. Just got off the phone with the service adviser who handles the account for our company vehicles. This guy has lied to me twice in the past 72 hours and we have been going there for more than a decade, despite my objections.

I take mine in to the dealer, they always have a coupon special for oil change, tire rotation and wash and some other misc things like topping off other fluids for $75 which gets me 3 services. I can't do all that for $25. My dealership is close to my house and is on my way to and from work so it's convenient. Easy to set up appointment and have never had to wait extra. I purchased my last 4 vehicles (not counting motorcycles) from them and they have always taken good care of me.

Been my experience, too. It amazes me how they can look you in the eye, telling you how you're such a valued customer, all the while stealing your gold fillings...

Just had my last "free" oil change, no problems so far.
Free coffee, donuts, and the free sammiches show up right before I leave!

They're $18 at Walmart and even cheaper if you buy online from them. Takes 2 mins.

And dealers wonder why people hate doing business with them.

Be sure to check their work. Many do shoddy work, especially if it's ToyotaCare.

In my purchase they included 8 free oil changes at any time for the duration of the warranty... I'll use those for the first 8 and then do my own... I have a grease gun and grease, filters and fluids are easy... If there is anything I don't think I can handle whenever I end up out of warranty, I have a mechanic friend who used to do automotive but now does compression, and I'll get his opinion on pricing on major parts and service and his recommendation of local shops.

I will have to concur with this statement. Brought my Tacoma in for routine oil change when it was still covered by Toyota Care. Made the mistake of not doing a walk around when the dealer brought my truck back. Ended up driving home on the freeway with 2 lugnuts. Their response when I called them- "Oh, whoops. Sorry about that, sir. Can you bring the vehicle back?"297073_2523681052760_192335667_n.jpg
