Thanks again for the input. I was concerned about rubbing if I took the truck off road. I know I could put 305s on it and not worry if all I did was drive the paved roads here in central ny.

I was also looking for guys with a tuff country 5 inch lift

    1) the tuff country spindles, and the stock spindles w/ the pro comp beer cans are almost identical.

    2) tuff country said you can run a 305/70r16 with <4.5 " backspace wheel( so I was wondering about that too)

    3) I'm new to having this truck... and I prefer not breaking it lol

Can't quite tell but it sure looks like plastic has been cut and pinch weld beat down...

Looking at your truck profile pic I don't see how u don't rub while turning while your suspension is cycling. There isn't much room there in your fender well. Most guys (rim size dependant) still rub with those tires on a small lift. Myself included for a bit.

Are you running wheel spacers? I too have that tire size and I rubbed like crazy.
To eliminate the rubbing, I added a 1/2" spacer on each side which provided clearance for the top of the TC UCA's at the uni-ball location, then I welded a 1/2" tab on the backside of the LCA. Not rubbing the frame now. I didn't touch the pinchweld at all.285-75-16.jpg

No spacers at all.I have done nothing to the truck since I bought it other than replacing the struts with stock struts.I haven't cut anything or done anything to the pinch mold? I don't have a front bumper either.I did notice that the passenger side tire scrubs something just a tiny bit in reverse at full lock.

I have 2.5" lift with 285/75 R16 BFG and it rubs the frame bad at full tilt. Sounds like I am on a rummble strip. I don't mean any disrespect but you deffinately are not stock if you don't have any rubbing. I'm glad you don't though!

I did go with 285/75r16, I have no rubbing issues. 4 inch Pro Comp Lift tho, with Bilstein 5100's on mid setting.
