Your Tacoma looks suspiciously like a Ridgeline...

It is.. It's on the chopping block. I'm in search of a Tacoma in my price range. Also was waiting for the 16 info to come out.

Maybe if I quit spending money on bike stuff I'd have more money for a new vehicle. =D

I'm in the market for new tires for my old cannondale. I'm considering Panaracer Fire XC 26x2.10 with the red sidewall. My question is the difference in the bead, steel, wire, kevlar or folding? I mostly just use this bike for camping trips in state parks so mostly gravel and some dirt riding. Anybody here have any tire recommendations? I prefer a red sidewall.

Steel and wire are the same thing... Kevlar and folding are the same thing. The folding ones will be lighter weight and easier to get onto the wheels. The wire ones will be cheaper since wire beads are heavier and less desirable.

    Yeah.
Just got back from a few days of riding out in the Kansas City area. Rode Landahl twice, Swope and Shawnee Mission. Great trails, but they like their rocks out there. Good to hone your technical skills for sure.

On the way back we stopped at Rock Bridge in Columbia and got caught in a downpour. Something got stuck in my derailleur, folded it up and broke the hanger. It went into the spokes taking two out and jammed itself in there really good. I'll need a few new spokes, new hanger, and most likely a new derailleur and cable housing. They may be able to salvage it with a new cage. Good thing I bought Trek Care Plus on this bike! Apparently they stopped offering it because they were losing money. I'll probably get my money's worth out of it.

Me and the lady just picked up our 2015 Cannondales yesterday, she's a new rider so she didn't go too crazy, she got the Cannondale Tango 5 27.5" with Hayes hydraulic disc brakes and remote lockout Suntour fork.

I've been riding bikes forever but never mtb, but chose the F-29 Carbon 4 in small for my first mtb, I'm 5'6" so the 15" frame works well for me. The medium at 17" would have been too big. The lefty fork, is a dream to ride after our first ride yesterday. 74b0c8c42fc08130410c8daa5f343a79_d41cc978d6b7775c251b9378c9c0fbd3819f3997.jpg

For transport I chose the Dakine pickup pad in the small size, fits great and works as advertised. Quick and easy to install/remove, I may get a Kuat NV in the future though, it's bad ass.b7705eb8a0babeff27a86dcdad33e459_f6864e7ff0a4b46fa693ef2fe93a1c4356f29a22.jpg

Sweet bikes..... but I would recommend 1 up USA bike racks they are awesome way better than Kuat in my opinion. They are offroad rated all aluminum construction don't wobble just awesome all around.... here are the pics in use and stored while not in use.

Is that pivot fender thing on your downtube homemade or an item that can be had retail? I made one for my AnthemX but it is between rear wheel and seat tube. I have nothing to protect all the pivots from the front tire throwing stuff. Have been contemplating making something like you have on yours for it.

The down tube gaurd I ordered that from Yeti. But there should be some aftermarket ones out there too. On my Kona I had I used 3m mastic tape and it worked awesome. I have that on the inside of my chainstay to help protect the carbon. It's cheap and works great you can get it at Home Depot or Lowes

Thanks for the info. I made mine out of a sheet of ABS my buddy had laying around. Was thinking about making something for the front out of what is left. Here is what I did to help keep the gak off the pivots, front derailleur and rr shock............

That looks really good nice job. That would stay good with that. My gaurd is held on with two way tape so that's all you would need to hold it on. Mine has held up really good.

Thanks, it has done the job and didn't clog up the one time I did get into some unexpected mud but it did keep all that stuff clean and front der didn't have a ball of mud all around it. I need something to keep the front tire from throwin stuff on pivots from that direction...
