This thread would be great in a conspiracy forum. Wordsmith what someone says to death.

Yeah I agree Sweers blew it with his comments. You can tell at first glimpse the truck was just refreshed. Saying only a seatbelt bracket carried over is kind of sleazy. I don't think we should stone him but he should just be straight and say they chose to update not redesign the truck because they liked it for a starting template.

...and I am not out to bash every aspect of the 2016 like BlueT. I'd love to own one.

Exactly. It's a clarity issue. Thanks for being reasonable.

Anything with the heading "Chief" really does require some politicing, sleaze and shmooze.

They won't be cheap though, as is the case with most Toyota alloy wheels.

Thanks Jeff for the great info... I didn't see it on the first post and I may just be missing it (a few after work beers) but I see they are reusing the existing leaf mounts, mounts, U bolts and shackles but does this mean they are FINALLY using new Leaf Springs???

It says that a caster wedge has been added to reduce vibrations accelerating/decelerating. The updated TSB springs had the same thing

The springs definitely changed, but other aftermarket leafs should still fit.

Something I forgot to mention, but I had checked before. The access cab rear door outer skin is the same.

    As are the door hinges.

What about some of the parts that were problematic on the 2nd Gen, such as:

ADD actuator on front differential (unreliable)
Needle bearing in front differential (vibrations)
Front wheel bearings (wear out at low miles - SAME - from the OP's list)
Camber cam bolt (no grease fitting, become seized)
    others?
