That clay bar is nice eh!

Next time you buy wax, try to get the Griots brand. I used the Cali Gold for years. Swore by it. Tried Griots on a whim as it was given to me by a buddy. Much better results, and much easier to work with.

As far as sealer goes, typically, the steps should go like this: 1. wash with car shampoo. 2. Clay Bar. 3. Polish. 4. Wash with shampoo again. 5. Sealant. 6. Wash. 7. Wax, wax, wax.

Awesome, you're the only other 98-00 I've seen with the Konig Countersteer wheels. What light pods are in your bumper?

Sheered my spindle on my last big wheeling trip:

So I ditched the spindle in favor of this:

1.25" grade 8 bolt. Brass bushings. 1/4' plate dual sheet bracketry. This one better not break...

    Yes. My thoughts as well.

The first time I did it I was very hesitant to do all of that. It was a bunch of work. But it really showed.

Well it's looking beautiful! Not sure about the q tip part though, ocd much?
So just wash, claying, and waxing might only last about a month, maybe a few weeks if you plan on wheeling it.

A full professional detail would include these steps
    Wash
    Clay
    Paint correction/buff
    Polish
    Sealant
    Wax

Sealing the paint before waxing is a vital step to prolonging that gloss and shine through various weather conditions - think of waxes as additional layers of protection, because that's all they are. If your truck isn't garage kept and you're driving through dust and dirt the wax isn't going to cut it.

Carnauba waxes in particular don't last as long as sealants, although they give a deeper gloss and shine. This is when stacking a sealant and wax is part of a full detail.

And that's about it, sorry for the detail lesson Lauren!

I just have the seat belt holding it right now because I want it to be easily removeable in case I need the seat for passengers. Im going to use velcro instead later.
