Blinding oncoming traffic is a good way to be involved in a head on collision .

i totally agree and it's 6 trillion percent unintentional. i'm not a fan of those lights either and used to think it was somebody with their high beams on until now that i have them i can tell the difference between upgraded lights and high beams.

None. 4300K HID retrofit lights here. Aimed them properly so they're all good. However, I must say that my halogens were better for driving on dark windy mountain roads as the light is more dispersed.

Edit: Corrected from 3500K to 4300K

The 8K lights may be unnecessarily straining your eyes.

Anything over 6000k, and even at 6000k in my opinion, you are working against yourself. 5000k or 4300k are best for hid and only in retrofits.

I have projectors, bright as fuck, never get flashed. That is unless I'm being as asshole (with good cause) with my highs on, then people rage (funny to watch). Lol

I'm actually finding rather odd I DON'T get the occasional flash.... I recently did a lift on my Tacoma. Raised the front 4"+ and the rear just about 3". Truck sits almost dead level. The headlights kick out a little further than they did originally, but not all that far I guess. I was planning on doing an adjustment on the headlights, but I may not need to.

There is this one incredibly irritating Ford F350 (diesel) that follows me out of town on the way to work every morning. He's jacked up the front end probably 6" and the tail sits a couple inches LOWER. His headlights blind everyone. I've got one old KC Daylighter laying in the garage....Thinking about a new back up light on the Toyota!

Well yes it is. But there are hundreds of 'level me' threads here. So apparently lots of folks are smarter than the Toyo engineers.

It would be interesting to see how many 'leveled for looks' are also plasti dip heavy.

Never happened until my lift & level 3/2". Usually on same road when it happens. I never use my high beams s my lows + fogs are sufficient for my poor eyesight. Stock headlights for me. Glad I saw this thread. Have wondered about adjusting fronts down a smidge.

The "K" Kelvin number has zero to do with brightness, that is the colour temp of the emitted light wave. In fact, 8K is not as bright as 5K or 4300K, just more blue in colour temp.

I used to get flashed by every vehicle, couldn't understand it because the truck was brand new, off the factory floor. Well, you'd think the factory or even my dealer would have adjusted them properly but they were WAY too high. Got them adjusted correctly and the flashing has stopped.

I' not gonna name call, but I personally do not understand altering the stock headlights in any way. They are the best, brightest, most efficient headlights in a vehicle I have ever experienced. Oh, and as a motorcyclist who rides at night quite a bit, here's something for all you that alter your lights beyond DOT standards...
