I remember visiting and there was a large lot just northwest of the dorms reserved for freshmen. At CU, it's not a lottery, but it's first come first serve. If you're not quick you have to park farther away.

Living in the dorms is essentially required freshman year. Usually you have to petition to prove you're responsible enough.

oh you are so lucky, out here on the southeast plains we can see the sun til it hits the ground and see it when it first comes up in the morn.i would love to see the sunset rise and set over the mountains but live in this area, I wouldn't change the lack of people down here for the sunsets and rises but would love to be able to see em .

Look up Mineslist on facebook, it's a buy/sell/trade group.

Golden sucks for parking, as you've found out.

There are 'free' places to park like the garages downtown, but you'll get towed if you're there for more than a couple hours at a time

also, Mines has an offroad club but it pretty much sucks. The leaders are all on 35s+ and have their own tow rigs so generally the runs they go on are exclusive

Also, be on the lookout for the M climb. My buddy rented a 500 gal water trailer so some freshmen are gonna get soaked

You could probably park in the apartment/condo complex that I live in (39.719069N, 105.141119W). It's not in Golden, but very close. There are "Visitor" parking spots that you should be fine to park in for extended periods of time. There's always a bunch open, so no one gets all pissy and calls tow trucks. I cannot guarantee 100%, but 99% sure you'll be fine.

Then you roll up into class and they tell you it's not required or you end up never using it anyway :D

They supposedly had a few copies of every textbook in the library for students to use who didn't want to buy them, but what I find dumb is they let you rent them out. So whoever got them first just kept them the entire semester lol. Things like that should have to stay in the library so you can share...or fight for it

Locker. I already have a front bumper.

It seems like all of my classes recently require doing homework out of the book.

The library usually has a copy on reserve, so you can check it out for 2 hours. Problem is they're not always available when you need them.

Oh well, it'll be my last semester anyways....

yeah it's such BS. I always email the professor and ask if an older version of the book is ok. Example: one of the books new 200$, older version was $10 shipped.

Granted it's been a couple years..... but it used to be you could buy used copies and resell them at the end of the year.

I would have figured everything could be found online by now.

you can find a lot of books online in PDF form if you know where to look ;)

but that generally excludes any STEM books. Or classes that require to do online homework using a key only sold with the new copy of the book :jerkoff:
