I've only heard one Win10 hardship story so far:
My brother has a semi-custom built PC with a GigaByte board
The auto-loaded audio driver won't recognize when he plugs in a headset, and continues to play audio through the main speakers.
There's an upgrade driver on GigaByte's webpage.
The driver needs a BIOS update
The BIOS update requires a program to install it
The program won't run in Win10 :rain:

Can he not flash the bios from a USB? I don't buy gigabyte stuff anymore after a bad experience with one of their graphics cards, but most of the newer boards let you load a USB update from the UEFI.

He was telling me it doesn't come separate, but I'm not caring at the moment since I'm busy with a ton of stuff right now. I'll see what I can do to help once I'm back down his way, but I told him compatibility mode will probably work just fine.

My battery life is all over the map with 10. I had windows 7 before and would get 6-7 hours.

With 10, on a full charge and a good day I get anywhere from 4-5.

On bad days not so good.

That'sy major complaint. But so far besides the battery issue and a few minor things it's pretty good.

No clue about Battery Life (I have a G73, so I'm not "Lap Topping this bitch"), but in terms of stability and speed 10 is much faster than 7 was. Boots up way quicker from full restart and programs and windows load much faster as well. So far I'm enjoying this.

Check your power options and reconfigure. Same issue on my Surface Pro 3. Fixed the power configuration and its pretty much back to normal.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
My only issue is with my Synaptics on my laptop. Mouse still works, and so do the buttons...

But the "tap" to click and the scroll settings no longer work. I've done all the fixes I could find and nothing... Maybe Synaptics will figure their shit out.

Yes, those are the settings I've played with I'm pretty techy. I've also tried following which processes are actively using memory the most and still don't have a clear answer why my fairly new battery lost hours when it went to windows 10.

Yeah I did get it on one of my computers. I've tried all the suggestions I could find online (safe mode cycle, the powershell script, reg edit) but no worky for me. I was able to create a new user account and it works just fine but it's annoying that my original user account is pretty much useless now.
