They are bright as hell and light up the road better than anything I have ever experienced.

Have you ever owned a jeep? And not just the Wrangler, any Jeep. Tacoma headlights are actually pretty good for stock

    Not enough...
Never owned a Jeep, but I came after driving beemers with nice self-adjusting projector lights for 6 years, so that't probably why.

    Stock
Stock lights, Stock height, never had it happen once.

I used to drive around in a 1999 F250 for work back 10 years ago. I would get lights flashed at me all the time! I got tired of it so I started showing them what the high beams looked like. People would about run off the road when I flashed them.

Gotcha, well I guess they can't really compare with a German car with projectors. As far as halogen reflection headlights, they're actually decent.

I never get high-beamed with my HIDs because I have a proper projector retrofit that is properly aimed with the correct color of bulb.

Do it right or don't do it at all.

Dunno. Add up how many cans it takes to make a cubic yard and subtract the weight of the cans?

I mean a 3' x 3' x 3' solid mass of plasti dip will take a lot of cans to make!

(That wasn't the kind of 'heavy' I meant. Suspect you knew that, being from Ky. like me. Louisville born, family Barren Co.)

It's not that they are too bright, it's that they have way too much scatter and the glare blinds everyone else. More than that, you leveled your truck thus raising the focal point of your headlights. Aim them down and be done with it.

The first few weeks after I got my truck I got brighted constantly. Totally stock at that time. I figured it was simply cause I was in a truck and everyone else was a pansy.
After one too many times I figured I'd better check that my lights are aimed correctly. I found that they were actually pointed a bit left of center (i.e. pointed towards oncoming lanes). After turning the driver side light inbound a bit I never got brighted again.

When just eyballing it, I parked about 25' back from a flat wall and tried to point the truck as straight as possible. Then stood behind the truck and looked down the centerline using the hitch and the rearview mirror as a reference.
If you use a block wall you'll get a fairly decent grid pattern to gauge off of for free ;)

Never been flashed. Or if I have its been once or twice.

But I also keep my retrofit headlights aimmed a tiny bit lower than most. Since most driving is city or freeway its not even noticeable. When I'm in the country or trails I have rigid duallys plus a lightbar if needed

I have the brighest lights i could find for a sealed headlight (when i first bought the truck) and now, i get flashed 24/7. My trucks lifted too, and haven'tangled the lights down. Probably should do that haha.
