Ford F-150 usually have different buyers...up until now. If the new Tacoma is as comfy as the testers say it is, it might draw a few r150 buyers. But, a big truck is a big truck and there are more choices in general that prepare you more for difference uses for the big ones. The Double cabs are no where near as roomy and you only tow your toys, not serious equip ment with mid size trucks. If you match your trucks with your needs, you can't go wrong getting a Fordf150 if those needs are served better by the Ford......good choice.

I don't care who you are... That's the best looking truck I've ever seen. I just wish it wasn't $60K

It says nothing about it going into production. Its a project and has no plans for production at this time

First month of ownership... This month I'm removing front air dam, and also Rhino lining the bed.
Sadly that is correct, just a proof of concept vehicle for now. “This is really a proof of concept,” said Chris Schwerkoske, Nissan’s product planner for the Frontier, Pathfinder and XTerra. “We want to gauge consumer and media interest.”

Read between the lines on that quote and Nissan is really saying, we want to see if the Chevy Colorado Diesel is a flop or a success before we commit resources to putting this into production.

There is no more "FX4 package", its similar to the sport package addition but with skid plates, blacked out front end etc. I have the max tow, plow prep, max payload, skid plates, 3.73 rear end with locker in my XTR. You can buy a King Ranch with an FX4 sticker on it.

I think you mean there is no ore FX4 trim level. FX4 is a trim package now. My truck is very similar to yours but we didn't go with the FX4 package on our XLT XTR.

Exactly why Toyota doesn't try to compete. Who in their right mind would beat the shit out of a $60k truck when Toyota can sell you two of them for that price and you'll still have one left that looks decent enough to drive to the religious service of your choice on Sunday.

New engines and ford is never a good combo. That Gem 6.0 diesel always comes to mind

Ecoboosts and the new modular V8 have worked out well. Every once in a while someone lays a turd. Even the early Duramax wasn't all that reliable.
