Get a panel wedge and start removing plastic. Its self explanatory. Dont bother removing the front grab handles, the bolts will strip if you try to.

Yeah tell me about it... I tried everything to remove the driver's grip but the steering wheel was in the way of (I think) the bottom bolt. Finally had to buy an easy-out. Drilled the hole into the bolt, stuck the easy-out into the hole and began to slowly twist it out.

Damn easy-out broke. Flush with the top of the bolt head. No way to drill that one out!!!

Stripped both bolts... Of course, I drilled the heads off, then drilled into them with a smaller bit (take it slow and drill down the center) I drilled about half way down into it and the heat released the loc tite and I was able to back it out with the drill. A quick trip to the hardware store and voila! I was also take the headliner down for the roof rack and wiring my KC's

You don't need to remove the handles, DONT TOUCH THEM. You can wiggle out the headliner after popping off the end of the A pillar cover.

There is a special tool to remove these philips screws without stripping, but if i tell you what it is then you all might go try and remove them, so just don't bother with them.

That tool worked for me. (big screwdriver type deal that you hit with hammer and it turns screw just enough to break free?)

I think you mean and "impact" tool. I tried that but was not able to get a good whack at it because the steering wheel was in the way.

I got it done. I'm as Newby as it gets. I didn'thave any trouble with getting any of the handles off or bolts out. Beginers luck I guess. Will post pics tomorrow. I used bolts with nuts and one metal washet on the backside. In between the rack and truck i used a metal washer-rubber washer-windshield silicone-then the truck surface. Afterwards I sprayed the inside washer/nut/bolt with plastic dip for an additional seal. Yall think it will leak?

Just had a carpet cleaner come and shampoo the headliner, seats, and carpet. Its good the headliner is so light cause its kinda weird putting it in by yourself. Have the dome light and its two screws on hand. Get the front slid in behind the A pillar covers then while holding it up with one hand, or your head, use a free hand to position the light fixture in the cab ceiling and thread the screws. DO NOT tighten anything until you get at lead the mirror and visors threaded, so you can nudge the headliner in order to get it perfect.
