I wanted to put it on the driver side so I could use the larger cubby hole for tools but I figured it would be better if the sub was more in the center of the cab. I guess ill try to find a better way to secure it , but do you think the seat belt rubbing on the sub rubber ring will damage it for now?

thats exactly where I keep my tools is under where you have the sub, the cubby on driver side has larger bottle jack and fuses with a few extra bulbs in a plastic box. I access the passenger side cubby all the time so its always clear of stuff on top, also I keep my seat pads in the down position to deter theft interest.

My son backed into my 98 Taco in the driveway. He was driving his '02 Jeep and must have been hauling @ss because of the damage to my truck.

I need some ideas for securing this bitch. I bought two super quick fist clamps and one broke before I even got a chance to put the tank in the truck (so I'm not a fan of them). I don't want to spend the cash on a powertank mount and I'm not afraid to drill some holes. Where the tank is in the photos is where I would like it to sit while secured. The strap for the tool box helps a little, but I don't want it flying around while on a trail. Thoughts? 20150821_175741.jpg 20150821_175747.jpg

m3bassman: Yeah, he's grounded, I haven't decided how long yet. There's a lot of damage and I'm new on here so I have to figure out how to fix it. I started taking it apart this afternoon. I'm glad that you guys are here. This forum is an awesome resource. I don't say much, but I read what you guys write. Lots to learn.

95 taco: He's 16 and his Jeep had damage to the bumper, spare tire and rear door. His stuff is all cosmetic so it won't be getting fixed anytime in the future. I'm going to look into your suggestions. Everything is new to me, so I'm in the learning mode. Thank you.

    OOOOOHHHHHH someone's in trouble.

    How old is he?

Looks like a god reason for a plate bumper and fiberglass fenders.

That's good to know! i use the q-tips and such to get into the corners of my cup holders and also get the dust in the vents lol. Might have to try all that eventually. I'm getting mine ready for a truck show haha

So you put the long tube on a dual cat system? I was wondering how much custom work would be needed.
That just a custom made piece? No CELs or anything without that first cat?

Yeah just a custom piece for now. Yes been throwing a CEL. This is one of those trial and error mods. Going to add another Cat within a month or two and then i'll have smog in January. Once I get it complete i'll post my out come for others. If it Fails I will have no choice to go back to stock to pass smog.

That's what I'm trying to avoid. A short header seems like a waste of money for the small gain.

There really isn't a hole lot of gains to expect with any header. There is some noticeable gains. But nothing to brag about. My headers did help and I do like what I get from it. Unless you have something to force air in then you are still limited to just a certain amount gain with exhaust. I did install the headers because my exhaust manifold was cracked and I figure I might as well throw in headers. If you want to add headers by all means go ahead.

Haha other than that yeah it was simple.
