It always shows the first pic in the OP if there is one. If no pic in OP, last pic posted goes in thumbnail

So in other news I blew the transmission and smoked the rear brakes today on my ride back from Richmond... going a new direction on this thing. She is going up on blocks and getting a full build. Axles, brakes, trans, tcase, gears, steering... fucking everything.

My plans of trying to make Moab again next year are gone. But I am going to build this thing up as if I was doing the entire thing the first time and that could take me up through next year... fuck.

Well its a land Cruiser with a diesel so I've got that going for me.
First I lost 4th and OD at around 65 and it dumped into 3rd. Got off the highway and it wouldn't shift out of 1st on side streets. Was able to force it to upshift by revving it up a little but it would skip 2nd and go straight into 3rd. Limped it home last last 3 miles going from 1st to 3rd. Pulled in the driveway smelling burning clutch and it would hold 1st gear only. When I stopped rear brakes were smoking and I had 1st and Park only. No reverse. She's toast. Fuck it I quit trying to make this tranny work. Clearly the time it spent with the wrong TV cable caused serious internal damages that ended it's life.

No point in crying over spilled breast milk. So I am going to go through this thing front to back rebuilding everything that isn't right until I have a reliable truck. This fix/break/fix shit is over. I am just going to fix so it doesn't break now.

Really sorry to hear about all the problems .
I guess when things take a shit, like the LC , it's time to go back to basic's like you have planned. Someday , you will look back on all this shit and laugh, probably cry too on how much bucks you spent ! But it's all part of the journey and the Fun of it !
Speaking of things taking a shit .... I'd bet that when Eva ^ takes one , the only thing floating in the bowl is Rose Petals and little Teddy Bears !!
Take a breather , think it out , and Good Luck !
    We're cheering for Ya :yay:
