Had a long crazy week in Vegas and got Murphy's Law'ed all week it seemed but had an awesome time racing Vegas to Reno. Wrote up a little something you can find on Race Dezert or via our TPF Racing Facebook page if you want to check it out but long story short...I rolled the truck down a 15 embankment becuase I'm a dope and I suck. We got it righted and kept going and had a rear end issue around Race Mile 30. Almost timed out at Pit 1 which would have ended our day about 510 miles short of our goal but our kick ass crew and our gutty little truck kept fighting and we ended up getting to the finish in Dayton in just under 21 hours with a second in Class 7100.

A lot of challenges and some highs and lows but am super proud of our guys and thankful for all their help and the amazing truck Khris built that withstood a desert season's worth of abuse in a single 24 hour period. Was great to see the SDHQ crew and am really thankful for the support of General Tire and Camburg not just for their products but for their support of racing in general.

Already tearing down the truck and am psyched to finish out the 3 race "mini series" at the Blue Water Desert Challenge in October.

Picked up some flat top bedsides from roadrunner glass a few days ago, gonna see if I can mount them when I get the time or have someone do it for me, glass looks pretty good so far, I'll keep you guys updated since no one seems to have reviews on them. I will say that they have been really good with staying in contact. They told me the bedsides would be ready in 5 days (which seems crazy compared to reviews from other companies), I was out of town so I told them I would pick it up 7-8 days later. We planned for me to drive to pick them up last tuesday and sure enough they were ready and I picked them up on tuesday just like planned. No hiccups in the process

So are 4 or 5 tube bypasses overkill for sua? I understand leafs can only do so much but figured an extra tube or 2 would be worth the extra tuning

Like to see a pic of them installed.
If you can tune it power to you man. It only took me 4 years to figure out tuning my smoothies before understanding where I could use a dual bypass to make me faster.

I'll definitely post up pics of the glass itself and them mounted up, so far they look really good to be honest. They may be a tad thinner but they do come precoated with a bedliner type material on the backside for rigidity

Will bang the dents out the best we can for now and leave it. It's just a little cosmetic damange so really no need at this point to spend time and money making it look pretty. It's a race truck, with a little more character now.

Blue Water Desert Challenge is a two day deal at Parker, like Oct 14th/15th or something like that. Second week of October anyway.

I wouldn't pay any extra money for them, but if they're a good deal they won't hurt. Like said above, it would just be more time needed on tuning them

i need to build a new bedrack for the truck. I need to get it up above cab height so that I can get kayaks up there as well. Just gotta finish working on this new house... couple more weeks worth of work... then I can get going on the truck.

Which will be right when we start getting snow...

I wouldn'trrecommend it. I lowered mine this summer and its one of the best decisions I've made. Handling is soooooo much better.
