Hey guys! Just got my 2015 around a month ago and started the mods right away. So far a Toytec 3 inch spacer lift with the 1.5 inch blocks in the back. I'm currently running Method double standard wheels with a 0 offset and 4.5 backspacing. I also have 265/75/16 BFG ko2s on right now as well. I'm trying to decide on going to 285/75/16 in the same tire but am not interested in cutting my body or anything. Advise would be appreciated! Here's a picture of how she currently sits! Thanks in advance guys! image.jpgimage.jpg

How serious are we talking when you say cutting? So you mean plastic or parts of the body? I love the look of the 285s. Haha

How much did the lift set up cost you?

It was like $250 and installed it all myself. I plan to go up to a full OME lift at some point but my off-roading is very minimal and this does exactly what I need it to do for now.

CMC and pinch weld at most. I fit 34s with just those but I have a bit more in my lift. Alignment will play a big part in getting those to fit as well

You may not be doing much wheeling now but I don't think anyone just buys an off-road to mall crawl. I could be wrong but sooner or later that spacer lift is going to bite you.

Good luck with the build OP

I'm confused on what's so bad about the spacer lifts? I've had them on multiple vehicles and never had an issue at all even driving down to hunting spots on a regular basis. I get maybe a rock crawler shouldn't have spacers but confused about the problems for everyday driving and slight off-road use.

Spacers and blocks are no substitute for actual coilovers and a full leaf pack. Although good for now I wouldn't trust them for long especially if you start to go off road.

Not trying to troll you OP, just friendly advice from someone who has had 4 Tacomas.

No I don't take it that way man. I appreciate the advise. Just not wanting to spend unnecessary money for the look I am looking for. I'll eventually go with the OME 3 inch lift I think. May be a few years.

Although I would leave the dif drop out and choose a heavier coil if you plan on adding a bumper. But otherwise I have heard nothing but good about this lift.

Sure there are advantages to Kings or ADS but for the money, you cannot go wrong here. Combine this with some 255x85r16s and you are going to be very happy.

I was thinking 285/75/16 BFG KO2 myself LOL... I know it'll rub a bit, but its the size I want. oh well, by the time I save up Ill probably have changed my mind.

It will change quite a bit, especially when you start getting into other builds and start to go off-road.

I'm on my 4th Tacoma and this one I've finally got down to perfect.

I have already put the differential drop kit on but did not notice much of a difference honestly in CV angles so it might not have been needed. I've been looking into that tire size since someone mentioned it recently. Will I have the same rubbing issues with those?
