Do you guys think there will me room to negotiate the price on a truck that is coming out? I doubt that. Probably once the dealers star getting plenty of inventory there will be room to negotiate price, right now I don't think so

I wouldn't do at that price.I think it's overpriced by as much, possibly more than $2k

For very popular, limited-supply vehicles, negotiating a deal around MSRP may be a competitive price - See more at: http://blog.truecar.com/2011/06/27/what-is-dealer-holdback/#sthash.WqpWHSGf.dpuf

I wouldn't pay more than msrp as the OP was quoted, but some dealers may not be willing to move a whole lot below msrp for a few months on these things. At least not until they have a bunch on their lots. Just a guess based on how high demand is likely going to be. One of the downsides of being first in line.

I wouldn't pay sticker price if Kyle Busch himself drove it first...

That's why I'm not shopping until next spring. More reviews, more pics, more truecar data, and more negotiating room.

I paid $35k for a loaded new Z71 4WD 5.3L with all the tech stuff double cab last year. I think Toyota is reaching here. I expect discounts after the initial hype is over. Shit you can get a left over tundra/year end tundra for that price.

That's MSRP no more no less.. You can try to dicker them down, but don't be surprised if they say no.

I heard some people getting a thousand dollars off for pre-ordering. If you can find that deal by calling around I would take it.

I'm looking forward to the release of the GM diesel. I think if the power/mpg numbers are great and the price hike isn't too significant, then Toyota will have no choice but to discount to stay competitive. That being said they will still be the sales leader, I don't think even the diesel will knock them off their perch.
