Picked up a set of Kings for the front. Going to drop them off at King for a rebuild before i install. Still searching for a set of UCA's. Found a great deal on a set of used Icon's, but that may not happen :( Otherwise it is between TC and Camburg, leaning towards Camburg.

The seller doesnt want to separate them from the coilovers he has unless he has a buyer for both. And they're $100 more if new, and no better than either TC or Camburg.

Looking forward to the build. I have a '97 black reg cab. Same except for the seating. I like the center console and separate seating idea. I have a full bench. Even one little compartment would benefit me.

Installed a switch panel where the cd storage tray would normally go. Saving my pennies for an sPod to run all accessories.

Currently on the hunt for rear shocks. Thinking of OE replacement King's, or saving up and dropping it off at Solo for their rear shock relocation setup and some 2.5 x 10" Kings to keep the rear under control.

Found a good deal on a pair of Camburg UCA's, and it gave me an excuse to slap in the King's and the arms. The front feels so good now, and the rear is just a wobbly harsh mess.

When i get around to taking real pictures, i'll post some up.

P.s. the upper ball joint is a true motherfucker. If i had to do it again, i'd pay someone to remove it.

Clean looking truck! I just put some TC arms on mine the other day. Totally agree on the Upper BJ being a complete pain. I broke an adapter from a rental press getting the 2nd one out. 2nd gens are nice that the Bj is in the arm and not the spindle. Can't wait to see your truck progress

So, i have a camper shell for my truck, and it seemed the aluminum frame was separating from the fiberglass shell. My fear was that while driving offroad, the frame and shell would separate, and bye bye camper.

Found some industrial adhesive at Home Depot, and glued that bitch back together. Been holding up extremely well so far.

Sold the camper shell, i really just liked the Leer one i had so much more. Will possibly order a new one when the time is right, if another doesn't fall into my lap.

Also finally got around to picking up tires so i could mount my badass new wheels from SCS :D

Picked up some new headlights. Was going to have some retrofits done by my friend Tony @ Bajahid.com, but i just wasn't feeling the way they looked on this truck. We decided to just stick with standard clear housings, and I'm going to try out some LED bulbs. Really cleaned up the front of the truck. My 15 year old lenses and bulbs were about as bright as a few fireflies in a jar.

The front ride height is at about stock, and with the new tires, and 3.5" backspacing on the SCS's, i was rubbing like a madman on the mudflap bolts. Time to raise up the front. I started with 3/4" preload. Will see how it goes from there.

Also took a few minutes to paint the ugly axle ends peeking out the center of the rear wheels. I want to eventually swap to rear discs, so i didn't bother doing anything special with the drums.

265/75R16. They seem massive on my little truck with no flares. Flares are definitely in the cards, not feeling the maxi-flush look lol

Threw one of my wheels into he bed to see what it would look like with the spare there. Really liking it, has kind of an old school Hilux vibe too it, and doesn't block rear view too badly. Took the opportunity to drop the kings out and see what kind of real world travel i'm getting with the Camburg uppers. Measured out to nearly exactly 10". Doubt my little 4.5" travel Kings will cycle that much, but i could if they do :)

This is seriously the best $35 i've ever spent. Can finally adjust the coilovers on the truck. Ride heigh adjustments have never been this easy.

And since my buddy Rick and I are lazy bums, not only working under a shade awning, we dragged out the portable AC for a fresh breeze while wrenching.... lol

I've heard story's on rear disc brake conversion. They suck. I'd look into it before I did it.
