Yup. About 11 months before the smell of adhesive (or gasoline?) faded.

Speaking of fading... the (p)leather is starting to peel and fade off the shifter.

Finished washing, clay barring, and waxing. My arms are tired  Wheels back on and it's all ready to get aligned. Kind of hard to see it in the pics but it has some ridiculous positive camber going on

Got my tires, wheels, and lift on. I had bad axle wrap before, but either the new aal or me greasing the drive shaft completely fixed that. Drives great now. image.jpg

So after keeping my rock sliders in the garage since last fall, I finally got them welded on

Oh and I also detailed the truck this evening.

Whelp, got the welder (betcha can't guess where :p ) and some not cheapo wire and consumables and I'm not completely shit at it. I was using old computer cases as practice material. The thin gauge makes it a challenge but I was able to lay a few solid beads and I have very little splatter.

Is axle wrap a real thing? I know it happens in drag racers with extreme acceleration but not sure the real sciences in road vehicles. I thought I had it, but it was just a couple loose nuts on my u bolts and don't believe it could happen.

Nice wheels by the way

Viking Brett (@Squeaky Penguin) came over today for a quick CB install and tune. 6 hours later...

Got everything mounted up the right way. Still can't get a good tune on the antenna. I tinkered with the SWR meter after Brett left and still can't get it dialed in. Also can't get it into the garage so I'm going to unscrew it or eventually get a quick disconnect... but I still need to tune this thing.

Oh, and we also finally got dimmable illumination to my switchbacks.

Take it out to a large open area to tune it. That should help it a lot.

So I discovered that 2.5 inches of planned lift goes a LONG way when you don't have the plate bumpers and winch installed yet o_O I got something like 3.5 inches lol. Is gonna look wonky until I get the rear done. I hope my CVs can take it.

Any bar that will fit in the holes tight enough for you to turn it. I've heard guys cutting off the end of screwdrivers but not sure you can get enough leverage unless you get a pretty long one.

Dude we even have the same wheels and red calipers.

    What is this?

Looks good! Are your reservoirs smaller? They almost look thinner than mine but maybe its just a trick. And I'm jelly at all the space you have on your passenger side. That was the worst side for mine for space lol. I can only imagine those knobs are going to rub if our reservoirs are the same size

LoL. I have loved these wheels for like 15 years. I finally found them used and had them powdercoated and machined so I could use the flat snap-in center caps instead of the screw-in hemispherical ones. They are stamped 1999 or 2000 so maybe they are the same ones I first saw :) Calipers came from Calahans (ebay). Reservoirs are the same size I think only the smaller body for the click dial is showing.

Why you got no space? Aren't we the same? The Reservoirs seem to fit nicely under the curved space under the body mount. The hose rubs tho. I have to tie it back to the frame with something.

Mine originally came off of our 2002 Ivan Stewart Tundra. Previous owner kind of killed the finish on them so I put them on mine and dad ordered new ones for his truck. It's annoying because some of mine have the screw in caps and others have pop in. It ended up with random ones for some reason lol.

My calipers are also off the 2002 Tundra and he upgraded to bigger ones. lol

That's not fair! lol I guess they aren't the same. I have my washer fluid reservoir in that area. It had a weird elbow piece coming off that I thought was just a tab, in the way. So cut it off and all my fluid poured out haha. So might a slight mod to it (put a screw in it and some sealer) and I had to cut the little shield around it. Had to take the whole thing out just to have space to drill in the mount.

    What's your hose rubbing on?
