I think at least half of the people I passed on the way to work should have just stayed home. Doing 40 on the H-3 in the left lane with 10 car lengths behind the next car all because the person didn't want their Infiniti to get splashed on...

Could've just been spaced so he doesn't plow into the car in front. It's nuts all over.

You probably passed me. Haha. I'm an old lady when it pours. And I don't like the stock tires. It seems the rear end gets loose quite often. :burnrubber:

Correct, excellent point. I'm extra cautious but won't hold anyone back.

Right?!? You know there a little lever over on the right side of the steering wheel. You see it right there? Hit it, oooooooh the windshield is clear again! Hawaii people need this on their driving test LOL

An update to the head on collision I posted a pic of earlier:

Honolulu police say distracted driving lead to the collision on the North Shore Saturday, and a Honolulu firefighter who was injured is still hospitalized in critical condition Sunday night.

Honolulu firefighters confirmed that one of the seven people hospitalized after a traffic accident near Haleiwa is an off-duty firefighter.

Police closed all lanes of Kamehameha Highway, between Paalaa Uka Pupukea Road and Kaukonahua Road, following the collision.

Honolulu police report that at 12:48 p.m., a Safety Systems flat-bed truck traveling south on the highway through the coffee fields near Haleiwa town crossed a double-solid yellow line and hit a pick-up truck that was driven by the firefighter.

The flat-bed truck driver could not regain control and collided with a third car travelling north. This third car contained five adults and an infant.

Police say the driver of the flat-bed is in his 20s and suffered minor injuries.

The off-duty firefighter is in his 40s and suffered head trauma and broken bones. He was taken in critical condition to the Queen’s Medical Center. Honolulu firefighters tell KHON2 that they have visited him and the department is hoping for a speedy recovery.

The driver and a passenger in the third car were also taken to the hospital in critical condition. The baby was not hurt.

Firefighters had to use the “jaws of life” to extract the occupants of the vehicles.

All of them were taken away in multiple ambulances.
