Duratracs are a mild mudders not an AT which is why you have the noise probably one of the quietest of the mudders I've ever heard and they get you through anything to answer your question OP I have had duratracs for 9 months and still look new only lost 1mm on my rear tires

Getting my Duratracs today, The BFG AT KO2 are being returned to discount tire .. kind of a shit tire...

I was extremely happy with my old Duratracs the last 2 years with 25k miles and these KO2 were supposed to be better. Not in my case.

I strongly recommended the Duratracs for the past 2 years to anyone and will continue to do so.

I have always had a bas taste in my mouth from BFG and this new "redesign" was not up to par for me.

I did the opposite, the KO2 work great for me but the Duratracs had issues (at least in my size and configuration)

I found for me the Durtracs handle better on the street, balance with no issues, better offroad traction with 35psi and overall feel like they grip, the KO2 slip and slide too easy even on the street.

I drive aggressively and the Duratracs always made me feel in control.

I had at least one bad tire that was moved front to rear and would cause bad vibration at 55mph even though it balanced out fine.

Other than that Duratracs were great

I've ran Duratracs, BFG KO's, Kelly Safari's and now most recent the KO2's. Never ran the KO2's in snow yet, but all other 3 were great in snow and off road. Far as wear, its pretty equal, far as road noise, the KO and KO2's are much better then other two.

I actually like a tire that hums down the highway, my truck is loud as hell anyways so I barely even hear the tires.
at 25k my Duratracs had 11/32 and 12/32 thread left as well.

At 25k on my old KO originals they had 7/32 left.

Noise was not an issue but the KO2 are quieter.

Duratracs are more MT with all terrain capability compaired to KO2 which are more an AT tire that can handle "some" mud (if that makes any sense)

    thats what they say

A pizza cutter tire here in the desert areas is not a good idea.. and I see snow 1-2 times a decade.

Got the Duratracs yesterday and immediately the traction was better, and felt like a new tire should.

I was very happy with my duratracs for the last 2 years, I am glad I tried the BFG KO2 to re confirm how much I dislike that tire design.

Had duratracs in 265/75r16 10ply replaced with ko2 275/70r17. In my opinion the ko2 are way better in every category. I'll know this winter which tire will do better in snow.

I disagree 100%, We are all different style drivers in different terrain.

Using the KO2 for a month was not a good experience for me at all, they felt like a budget tire, makes sense that it is $40 less per tire as well.

Here are the pics i have showing both, the KO2 never seemed to warm up enough or feel worn in.. so they were slippery as hell.

    Hey guys,

Currently running 245 75 16's on my 2013 Base 4 cylinder 2.7L and really been wanting to upgrade to the KO2's and finally i saw this morning discount tire direct is offering $100 off a purchase of $400 or more and free shipping and you can get a set of KO2's shipped to your door for $644..... Wondering if i should pick up a set and throw them on and sell my current 245 75 16 Cooper AT3's that only got 6k miles on them. Also will a 265 75 16 spare fit up under the truck without any modifications? Just to keep on under there if needed?
