My PS3 is getting really spotty wireless service and sits on "setting up game" on COD 4 for like an hour sometimes, other times it just doesn't even connect. I dunno why my computer is 10 feet away and gets great service.

I wouldn't run it wirelessly if you don't have too. It is always better to connect direct with an ethernet cable.

I've had mine do the same thing, but I think it was the PS3 and not the wireless. iirc all I did to get it to work again was to detect wireless settings on the PS3, or something like that. It disconnected from the router, ran some tests, then reconnected and it was back to normal. I run on wireless all the time without any problems for the most part, Though I do have a high end simultaneous dual band N wireless router.

Harden your bark, there are storms on the horizon.
i'd get a cable. i was having some trouble a while back with my wireless. internet ran great on PS3, but playstation network not so good. i tried every configuration i could find to no avail. i think it has to do with the router's security. when i disabled my security and put the PS3 in DMZ mode on the router, i was hosting most every match on COD5 and never had a "server timeout" or got booted. i wasn't comfortable with no router security, so i ended up running some Cat5. download speed increased dramatically as well.

BTW...:woot: Modern Warefare 2 is only two weeks away!
