    @BlueT

    BTW you meant ECON101. Economics is a 4 letter abbreviation. ECO101 would be an Ecology class.

    Actually they don't teach you that in the first year. First year economics is Microeconomic theory. Of course, if you went to university, you might know these things.

    Learning to read an income statement happens in Accouting, not Economics. Maybe those are the same course in high school or on your GED, but at the post secondary level they are different things. Economics is the theory and the math is to come up with numbers that are relevant to prediction models. Accounting is crunching the numbers for tax and financial purposes.

    I don't know how the rest of TW feels, but the Sterdog vs BlueT pissing match on every freaking thread is starting to get old. Don't you guys have better things to do with your time?

    Nah I'm sure the rest of TW feels the same. Except this is the 3rd gen section so it's all pretty much BS anyways.

    Some of those now know Toyota did cut 50 billion Yen from Engineering so I wonder how quickly this will show up in the mainstream news.. :)

    I'm checking out buddy. Have fun in your own little world on the couch on your front lawn. Just remember not to let the charger for your iPad to fall in the kiddie pool you rest your feet in. I'd hate to watch you die that way on youtube. Best of luck on your new Titan.

    I dont see why you are angry at me because you "highly educated" couldn't read income sheet from financial statement. :p
    Shouldn't you be angry at people who gave you your degree ?

    Glad you understand now. Especially considering you don't know the difference between ECO101 and ECON101. Oh, and rarely do schools use 101 anymore except for the general studies courses. Now it's all 110 for basic knowledge necessary courses and other random numbers for other levels.

    The funny thing is this...
    Everyone has all kinds of opinions and assessments made on a truck that nobody has driven or seen yet. Anyone who thought that Toyota would drastically change the Tacoma (a truck that has been a best seller) is smoking crack. Anyone who thought that Toyota would spend millions of dollars in re-tooling investment costs to significantly change a truck that they would sell out (at MSRP) anyway is now a crack addict.

    I asked him which University did teach him that expense on income sheet is positive number.. I think sending his post to his University would entitle him to a refund on his education.

    I may forget to type a letter, but I can still read financial income sheet correctly, unlike you. :thumbsup:

    Care to explain to us that you can count 4 bearings on a diagram with 6 :rofl:. I guess Subway forgot to teach you to count.

    Dude, my point still stands and I'm not wrong. Read things however you want too. That balance sheet does not show a cut to Toyota's "Engineering" (think about it, Toyota doesn't have a department called "Engineering", this isn't Star Trek). It does show 50 billion in income that came about as a result of cost saving measures. Engineered solutions, which require R&D dollars, are responsible for that money being recouped. IE They made 50 billion more Yen that year because of engineered cost effective solutions.

    R&D, which is what you were talking about when you tried to say Toyota is chopping the development budgets, has been increasing year over year for Toyota over the last 5 years.

    These 2016 MSRP's seem crazy high. GM and Toyota are milking this segment for every penny they can get. Honda is definitely getting back in also and they'll be right around $36k entry. There is a captive audience that's good for 100k sales per year because midsize.
