Do these replace all the oem leaves or does it add on?

From what I understand Icon and Wheelers are the same price so given you're in the mainland might as well grab the Wheeler's Progressive set up.

Don't get an AAL for the rear. Save some more money, add to the $100 you have and get a leaf pack. You will thank us later. Happy trails...or roads.

Hmmm suggestions on leaf packs? What about the leaf recall? I feel like I should wait for that but then again it will probably be garbage....

My plan is to raise my 5100's to 2.5 inches

    Get the appropriate UCA's ( suggestions? )

And raise the rear so it sits about .5 - 1 inch lower than front ( by buying AAL, leaf pack or painstakingly waiting for recall of leafs then doing AAL...

    Suggestions?
    Comments?
    Concerns?

Personally I've never like the idea of lifting a truck simply by extending the shocks. That's just me though. I'm no PhD in geometry and physics but when engineers far smarter than I built the truck I can imagine they never designed it to be jacked up 2.5" while using the same coil.

How much lift are you going for? You only need a couple inches max for those 31's unless you're looking at 33"s

    2.5" in the front
    2.0" in the back

Well given the initial budget of $100 I would hazard to say cost is an issue so you definitely can try you're luck and avoid the UCAs at 2.5" by using a coil and shock combo. The AAL will get you about 1.5" so you'll want a spacer out back too.

    $100 was for AAL.

I will just have to save up for UCA's, Coils, and Leaf Pack

I get that but I think UCAs on 2.5" of lift only matter if you can't align it and are gonna wheel it hard. YMMV

The issue would be the alignment... Positive camber is usually a symptom of getting a lift.

Anyone know the cheapest UCA's that would be appropriate for a 2.5" lift?

Confused as to why the less expensive one is a higher lift?

I contacted ICON about their AAL recently. Another member installed one of their AAL's and did not run into any fitment or clearance issues like myself and other member have when installed on the factory 3 +1 pack.

Per ICON, they had been hearing of the issues some of us have been dealing with and apparently made some changes to the AAL. After seeing photos from the other member of the AAL installed, clearance with the pack clamp and fuel tank mount is improved since they moved the location of the clamp. Also there shouldn't be a need to cut and remove one of the factory clamps anymore.
