Agree, feeling they will need to discount them, but $39k for a TRD OR LB is crazy expensive too, even for a toyota.

I coudn't agree more. It's going to be a battle getting the dealer to come down to my price. I'm certainly not going to try that until the initial craze is over though. The dealership is right across the road from my house though, so i'll spend all winter over there taking test drives and going over every nut and bolt of the truck with salesmen. Hopefully they're ready to give me one after six months of me being a pain in the ass lol.

not much, if this is indicative of 2016 pricing Toyota can stick it up their back side. Tacomas were on the edge pricing wise before the 3rd gen came out.

One can never have too many light bars.
Unless you're buying a Limited Edition Ferrari you should never pay destination charges.

Well then good luck buying a new vehicle in the U.S. legally, because equalized destination fees have been government mandated for decades to keep consumers from simply driving to the same town as the manufacturing plant and buying their vehicle from the cheapest dealer to ship to.

I am just going to wait it out. In looking at the base prices, options, MSRP, and taxes I can see this truck going into the low to mid 40's . As much as I love this truck I plan on waiting it out. I may even wait for the 2017's by then all of the "I am the first one to get one people" are out of the way and the prices start the level off. I am interested in a fully loaded Sport 4x4 DC or maybe the Limited, but I am in no way going to pay "out of the door" 40,000.00 plus for a Tacoma. Hell,. I am not even going to pay 39,000.00. Toyota knows that this is going to be a hot ticket so there is really no incentive for discounting the truck right now. I am just going to enjoy my 2006 tacoma 215,000 miles and have a little PATIENCE

You're right. What I meant was don't just allow them to mark it up and using destination as the reason. Usually is shows destination fees in addition to MSRP. Don't be a hack and pay that amount. Always try pay less than MSRP let alone destination fees. I understand that no matter what you will pay them but as long as in total you pay less than MSRP total it's okay.

Well then don't sell yours until after I buy mine! I bought a home in 2008. I deserve this!

Toyota never deals during the first year, it's just the way they are. However, have patience and wait for the 2017's and you can get $3-$6K off with ease. Plus you get a vehicle with the first year bugs worked out and maybe some new content (like more than one USB port....really Toyota, it's 2015, not 2005).

Your overshooting there with $6k off, Toyota's let alone Tacoma's are never $6k off unless its a once in a lifetime deal. Thats how they keep high resale value. Expect $1-3k off MSRP, is the usual norm. And your also crazy to think demand will slow down after a year, they have been selling the same truck for 10 years now no problem and with little to no incentives.

The same price as a current one should be good. This technology crap In them is unnecessary sorry to ruin some of yalls day. A CD is all you need and the rest is for those who can't dare have a truck be a truck and need entertainment to distract them from driving....

How close to a border state are you ? I have bought several vehicles over the years here in Dulawhere and the dealers all seem to think you won't do your homework and you won't go else where . Every vehicle I bought was in MD or Pa paid anywhere from 700 to 5k less then what any DE wanted. Just a thought I do hope your not in the position of having to have a vehicle that sucks especially if you have told them this. Last truck the taco lol I bought I did not need a vehicle I had 2 a 99 Silverado owned since new and well kept but getting tired at 260k miles and a 2002 Rav that I bought as a run around car with 67 k on it . I was dealing from a position of power you might also get loan info from your own bank etc as you might be able to get your numbers down. I already had a commitment in writing from my credit union along with 2 k cash down payment in hand . Most dealers are not used to dealing with people who don't really need a car , have decent credit and not up side down on thier current vehicle ( both paid off) nor did I want any of thier bells and whistles lol I did my research here as a lurker lol.

For you. For me I don't even own a CD anymore. I ripped all my CD's to MP3 10 years ago and gave them away to get that clutter out of my life.

does it come with a bottle of lube because it sounds like the dealer is taking advantage of you, without buying you a nice steak dinner first
