My 2010 Tacoma (2WD) was cheaper to insure than our 2010 Accord EX Coupe.
    Go figure...

A 2014 Nissan Rogue SL is cheaper to insure than a 2006 Crew Cab Frontier SE in BC, agent says it is because of the weight.

My agent said the F150 is cheap to insure because that models accident rate is way below average for the class. Who knows. Insurance doesn't show us why they charge us what they charge us, but it's probably based on several things some of which are probably silly to us and serious to them.

Wow..that's kinda...odd. The first thing I'd do, is remove those headrests.
Nothing folds down flat? My 07 is kinda boring but I LOVE IT. Nice flat area to carry junk.

its probably do to the number accidents of F150 divided by number they have to insure. if you have 1000 accidents but you as a company are doing insurance on 50-60k F150, the accident rate is pretty low.

    just my wild guessing.

odd question about terrain select ... I've heard Sweers and others talk about having a setting for sand, a setting for rock, whatever. Is there a "snow" mode or functional equivalent?

You use the same setting for Snow as you would for Sand.

I think it's a nice truck. Reviews have been pretty good and it should continue to do better as the years progress.

I'm curious what the overall consensus was when Toyota went from Gen 1 to Gen 2.

    Later.

I don't know why Toyota got rid of those style of jump seats, I mean they are pretty worthless as seats...why not make more geared towards to hauling cargo rather than people?

Maybe that 2nd row "magic seat" arrangement in the Honda Fit might work for both occasions (need seats temporarily or flat floor and open space when folded up).

You can order the SR without the seats. It'd be nice if that option was available on other trims too.

    That might work.

The old design was brilliantly simple.

the new, doesn't do anything well...

    just awkward.

The B-Max package is what it is called IIRC...just too bad it only comes with the 4-Cylinder. And now the SR only comes in automatic...I do not care for how Toyota does their packages.

Car packages are odd, here we are living in a world with nearly infinite choices out there...yet vehicle packages are very narrow. It is like this all or nothing attitude.

Be nice if we were able to 3D print a vehicle to our exact specifications...

Only Toyota and GM are odd. Ford basically let's you add whatever the F you want to an F150. We have an XL on order with the FX4 package, rear sensors, and the 3.5 L Ecoboost. Other than those options the truck is bone stock.

Good to know...Dodge seems pretty good about it too, surprised by how many paint choices they have, that and having the EcoDiesel available in the dirt bag work truck model (too bad is a Dodge...)

I am really hung up on manual transmissions, the choices are slim for pickups...it is either a Toyota, Nissan, or a Ram 2500/3500 Cummins.
