I actually ordered a 2016

Just ordered my 2016. TRD OFFRD 4X4 DBL CAB LONG BED. Had to take a couple of extra options with it since that what was being built. Anyone know what an "exterior package" is? My sheet looks just like the one posted earlier minus the Premium Audio upgrade. Comes with the weather mats $179, Tow Package $650, Wheel Locks $80, and Exterior Package $934. Would love to find out what that package is. Final MSRP was 37,083 and my salesmen knocked 1300 off of that for me

 

That exterior package means it has a lowering kit on it, and neon lights that glow under the vehicle.

 

anyway you can post up your allocation order with the options and pricing for those items? it would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, also, someone was interested in a roof rack earlier in the thread I believe. They do offer that as an option. One of the trucks they offered to me had it on it.

 

Just got back from the dealer and got an updated build sheet with the price. My TRD Sport access 4x4 automatic with the tow package and "entun prem audio" is $34,709, delivered.

Search my old posts for "what are you paying" back in 2009. Prices were less than 28K.

My 2009 DC Long Bed TRD Sport with tow package was if I recall less than $28K. These trucks are nice but $10K more??

No fucking way would I pay close to 40K for a Tacoma even if the bed was lined in 24kt gold.

I guess I'm keeping my reliable 2009 and will spend $30K for an older 911 or M3. Toyota just moved me into a weekend high end sports car...

My price before taxes $25437.00 plus 5% , plus 75 plate transfer, plus 250 documentation fee.

 

I'm pretty sure even a current 2015 TRD with some trimmings costs near $35k before any discounts. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Yeah I test drove a 2015 TRD DC Short bed and they wanted 34K for it. Toyota stated that the new trucks would be a couple grand more expensive. The 4X4 and DC options are veryyyy expensive. If you can deal with 4X2 or the access cab, I say get it. Unfortunately, the DC was the only stipulation of my fiance if I were to get the truck

 

Guessing there is no sales tax where you live. That OTD price would put it at about 32k before taxes here. That would be nice.

 

I'm assuming that is excluding tax, which yes, we do have here. haha

Yeah found that out from another thread. I seeing if the dealer can take that off my truck order. He said it is pretty limited since Toyota builds what they want, they aren't technically special ordering trucks yet. If he can't, I will take at least the tube steps off and post them up here. I'm sure someone will want them. I personally think they are ugly.

That price is listed as MSRP. Without shipping and options it was $32,950.

 

I love in New England and if I could deal with having a 4X2 I sure as hell would not be buying a truck, it would be a front wheel drive something... In New England if you see a 4x2 truck you do a double take and wonder what the heck was he thinking when he bought that... try driving a rear wheel drive Tacoma up a steep ice slush covered road..it cant be done and hence why less than 1% are 4X2 and those guys came from the South.

 

Toyota the cheap bastards.....they took off the tow package as standard item with the TRD Sport and then added it in but the Exterior Package is a joke. Who the fuck needs a bed extender on a long cab truck? Hardly anyone? All that crap is put on at the dealer anyway so wait a few months and then negotiate this crap out, since demand is exceeding supply they tell you that is all we have..

The take away for me is this:

It seems you can get a 2016 DB LB TRD Sport or TRD OFF Road with auto for 34 and some change MSRP and then negotiate down to 32. Not now but 6-8 months from now.
